It came out last week that a 1970s band is taking legal action against Avril Lavigne, claiming that she stole a main piece of her newest song from them. She insists that it’s coincidence and their claim is based only on five words and not worthy of merit. She states that as human beings we all speak the same language and that she has stolen nothing. She is now threatening legal action. She is also threatening legal action against Chantal Kreviazuk because the singer said that Avril stole an idea from her album. She wrote on her website that she has much more to say but was advised against it by her lawyers. I think Avril needs to get down off of her high horse and stop pretending she has some amazing musical gift. If anything Avril has gone in reverse over her career. She was the angsty, opinionated punk on her debut album and has become a sell out pop princess. I can’t take the girl seriously. Let’s see if the Judge does.
