Oh my word – this story just made me ill. Apparently, a mom from Texas decided to do anything to help her daughter win tickets to a sold out Hannah Montana show….including lying about the death of the child’s father.

Priscilla Ceballos helped her six year old daughter write an essay for a contest in which the prize was four tickets to the sold out show. It seems mom really wanted to win. The opening line of the essay was, “My daddy died this year in Iraq.”

Thing is, he didn’t. The grand prize of the tickets plus airfare to the Albany, New York, show and a makeover were awarded by Club Libby Lu. When they found out about the lie, they gave the prize to another contestant.

The mother apologized on NBC’s Today Show Friday. She said, “Please accept my heartfelt apology and please do not punish my child for my mistake.” Geez, lady, all I can say is wow. She definitely is a Hannah-fanna.

Kerry Katona hasn’t had the best of years; so you would think that a New Year’s celebration would be cause for resolutions and making peace. But not this girl. The ex-Atomic Kitten star entered the New Year with a bang after hitting out at her mother-in-law for trying to protect her daughter Heidi.

Marylin Croft was simply pointing out that the smoky environment caused by partygoers was not the best environment for her 11-month-old granddaughter, when pregnant Kerry flew at her in a rage. She kicked the gran out of the party and topped off the bizarre behaviour by telling her that she would never see the kids again if she spilled the beans.

But in an interview Marilyn, 59, stormed: “I have to speak out. Kerry is five months’ pregnant with my new grandchild yet she was roaring drunk on vodka and smoking like a chimney. Heidi was still up at midnight being passed around like a parcel in a smoke-filled room when she should have been in bed. But like everyone in Kerry’s life, Heidi is just a prop for her celebrity.”

Ouch. Now Marilyn has now been frozen out of Kerry and Mark’s life just like Kerry’s mother Sue who dared speak out about Kerry’s monster drug and drink binges.
