No it’s not another pun leading into a horrific story relating to Amy Winehouse and crack cocaine…for once. It is actually good news. It’s not often I get to put the two things in the same sentence but yes, I can actually report something good about Amy Winehouse…probably for the first time in months.

It seems that the troubled singer is slowly beginning to win her battle with drugs. The Back to Black star has spent four days in rehab, where she is ‘delighting’ doctors with her progress; especially as she hasn’t even tried to do a runner. For the first time it actually looks like Amy is making an effort to sort herself out.

A relieved close family friend said last night: “Although Amy is still taking each day at a time she has done the hardest thing in the world by going into rehab. She has been ill and is withdrawing but at least she is sticking with it as she detoxes. With her family’s support we are hopeful that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel as she weans herself off drugs. She will stay in rehab for as long as it takes even if it is three or four weeks. Nobody is saying it will be easy, but things are looking good at the moment and doctors are encouraged.”

It’ll be a “wonder year” after all for Fred Savage and his wife Jennifer Stone. They are expecting their second child together in May. They already have a son Oliver who was born in 2006.

At the Director’s Guild Awards, Fred pointed to Jennifer’s belly and said, “We’ve got number two cooking right now.” While they’re sharing that news, they plan to keep the baby’s name and sex a secret from the public.

Miley Cyrus had to stop in the middle of a concert Saturday night because she wasn’t feeling well. She abruptly left the stage and left the crowd waiting and wondering for about five minutes. She eventually returned to the stage, singing the rest from a stool instead of dancing along.

Before getting sick, Miley performed as normal, singing out and dancing to her hits. Her father Billy Ray Cyrus also joined her for their duet.

It’s on, it’s off, and it’s on again. Yes, I am talking about the relationship between Britney Spears and paparazzo Adnan Ghalib. However Adnan has insisted it has always been ‘on’; and his latest claim stands up for the singer’s sanity.

The 35 year old photographer says Britney is neither crazy nor suicidal; and that she loves sons Sean, two, and Jayden, one, too much to kill herself.

The boys were at the centre of a police standoff last month that saw Britney, 26, admitted to hospital. The snapper said: “She was afraid. It’s just helplessness, loss of control. It doesn’t make you crazy. She’s no different from any mum. She needs them.”

Need them or not Britney has been denied visitation rights after missing yet another court hearing regarding the matter. Although she did actually attend court, she fled before seeing the judge. As a result Judge Scott Gordon refused to restore the access rights that were suspended after her breakdown.

Lily Allen enjoyed a night out in London for the first time since her tragic miscarriage. The star took a small group of friends to dinner at celebrity restaurant The Ivy before finishing her evening off with a quick drink at The Groucho Club.

However Lily left after just 15 minutes in the posh watering hole in Soho.

Regardless, we have to take our hats off to her; as a celeb she is showing a brave face in what must feel like the end of the world at times.

The star suffered a miscarriage last week following a romantic break in the Maldives with her partner Ed Simmons.

Happily the 22-year-old is battling through her grief and began filming her TV series Lily Allen And Friends this week.
