The Jonas Brothers are the biggest thing right now and just when you thought they couldn’t get any bigger… the band of brothers will now have their own book to add to the list of their merchandise. The Disney Book Group will be publishing a behind-the-scenes book on the brothers. The book will have never-before-seen photos and some exclusive commentaries. The book is set to come out this Fall. In the meantime, their original Disney Channel Movie ‘Camp Rock’ will air on June 20th. The brothers are also currently on tour and have a Disney Channel series lined up. They are everywhere and in our face!
Pete Wentz isn’t your everyday type of guy so it should come as no surprise that his wedding gift to wife Ashlee Simpson is anything but common. Pete hired artist Nathan Sawaya to make a giant bumblebee made of Lego bricks for his wife. The bee measures 26” x 47” by 36” and is made from around 18,000 bricks. Nathan commented on the project saying “Why a bee? Because it is romantic of course. In Hindu myth, Kama, the god of love, has a bow and arrows, and the bow string is made up of bees. In the ancient Greek world the bee symbolized the soul because they migrated in swarms. And the Roman god of love, Cupid, is often pictured with bees or being stung. I made this bee for a boy who wanted to give his girl a special wedding gift.”
Gwen Stefani celebrated her son’s second birthday with a star-studded bash over the weekend.
The ‘Don’t Speak’ singer – who is currently expecting her second child with husband Gavin Rossdale – invited a host of Hollywood stars to the party at the couple’s Beverly Hills home in honour of Kingston turning two.
Guests included Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman and their four-month-old son Max, and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden along with their baby daughter Harlow.
Victoria Beckham also attended the bash with her youngest son, Cruz. The children were treated to entertainment from cowboys, cowgirls and pony rides while the adults dined on a mouth-watering feast of food.
A source said: “All the kids really enjoyed themselves and you could hear them laughing all afternoon. The older party guests seemed to be enjoying themselves, too.”
Gwen, 38, recently revealed she is besotted with Kingston. She said: “I love him so much. He is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. This morning he woke up at 6am and I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to die right now.’ I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I’d rather spend time with him. I’ve got this extra-fun, amazing little guy who just wants to hang with me.”
E! is reporting that while Miley Cyrus wants to look good in front on the camera as ‘Hannah Montana’ she’s still crying over her Vanity Fair photo controversy. Miley’s teen co-star, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, says that the 15-year old had no idea that people would look at her “like that” after her racy photos came out. It looks like fame is a lot for Miley to handle sometimes. She’s confided that all the attention is hard and sometimes doesn’t want to go on and work. Well what did she expect? That people would go ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ over pictures of their squeaky clean idol posing almost like a porn star? Maybe that’s a little too harsh but it’s the right analogy if you ask me.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are too cheap to honeymoon.
Pete, 27, said the pair would rather hang out in their Los Angeles basement, with inflatable palm trees, than spend money on an exotic holiday to celebrate their marriage – which took place last Saturday.
He said: “We’re going to save that $30,000 you know. We’ve got some blow-up palm trees, a little fake-n-bake tanning booth. We’re eating DiGiorno’s pizza, getting in that tanning oven every once in a while, it’s great. It is sunny and 65 degrees in my head.”
Pete admitted the couple have a pre-nuptial agreement, but refused to confirm that Ashlee is pregnant – despite reports she confirmed the happy news to wedding guests.
The Fall Out Boy rocker also refused to comment on rumoured problems between his new wife’s sister Jessica and her American football player boyfriend Tony Romo. He said: “It seemed like they were dancing. It seemed like it was a good time.”
Pete and Ashlee, 23, married in a non-denominational ceremony at her parents’ home in Encino, California. The nuptials were followed by an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed reception complete with a cake decorated with a top hat, stop watch, tea pot and a pot of flowers. Pete’s dog served as their ring bearer.

Lily Allen is making quite the ass of herself in Cannes and is showing more of herself than anyone would really like to see. According to reports, the British singer was kicked off of a classy yacht party this past weekend because of her boozy, classless behavior. The pop tart apparently ripped off her bikini top and threw herself off the side of the boat during the party. The crew had to fish her out of the Mediterranean because it looked like she was about to drown. Once she was safely back on board, the party host covered her up with her dress because he was embarrassed by her inappropriateness. Lily was then told to get the heck out of the party.
Avril Lavigne was spotted enjoying a night out with friends at the trendy Villa lounge in West Hollywood on Saturday. In a surprise (for me at least), the 23-year old singer was recently honored at the AG Hair Cosmetics’ 8th Annual Best Canadian Hair Awards for her pink tresses. That’s probably the only thing that remains loveable when it comes to the singer. If you ask me, I think it’s cheesy and so last century. She won the award for best hair do among Canadian musicians. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Sandra Oh’s hair won for the sexiest hair on a Canadian actress.
While most of us hardly care, someone apparently cares enough to pay cold hard cash for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s wedding pictures. Sources are saying that People magazine is shelling out well over one million dollars for pictures of the weekend wedding. That’s probably more than what she’s made from her singing. For their part, the magazine says “We’re thrilled that celebrities continue to choose PEOPLE as the place to share their most intimate photos. We do not comment on specifics of any deals.” I wonder if they got any pictures of Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo together even after they split.
The American Idol stage is already hot with the vocal battle between David Archuleta and David Cook and it’s about to get even hotter. The Jonas Brothers are confirmed to be performing their hit song ‘SOS’ on the season 7 finale of the talent show this week. If anything, the band of brothers is going to cool down the stage as people anticipate who gets crowned as this year’s American Idol on Wednesday. If you ask me, the anticipation of finding out who will win is damn near killing me. Either David has been considered a shoe-in at the finale and here they are. Aaaah!
Rihanna prefers to be friends with a guy before she dates them.
The ‘Umbrella’ singer – who is rumoured to be dating R’n’B star Chris Brown – has revealed her top tip for romance is to befriend a guy as it is ‘easier to flirt’.
She said; “When I fancy a boy I always start off by hanging out with him in a group. It’s easier to flirt with him as there’s no one-on-one pressure, but he’ll still see you’re the one giving him all the looks and attention.”
Despite rumours Rihanna is dating ‘Run It!’ singer Brown, she insists they are just ‘best friends’.
She previously said: “We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. I won’t say that we’re just friends – me and Chris are really best, best friends.” However, she added: “Most of my boyfriends have started out as friends first, although there are some friends I could never look at like that.”
Rihanna has previously been linked to Hollywood actors Josh Hartnett and Shia LaBeouf.

American Idol contestant David Archuleta’s dad has been banned backstage or anywhere near where the other Idols are due to his overbearing personality. Now, Archuleta’s team is trying to cover his sorry butt. Unlike the kid’s voice however, it rings a little hollow. People talked to David’s voice coach and a guy from Utah who has been working with David on arrangements for the past 3 years. How many people does this kid need? The voice coach says that the ban is “more of a fairness issue than anything else.” The arranger gives a more ominous so-called defense in “”[Jeff's] involved. He’s intense. … Sometimes people don’t like that.” Go figure.
Ashlee Simpson will wed Pete Wentz in a secret ceremony on Saturday. Hmm, not so secret if we know about it though, is it?
The ‘Pieces of Me’ singer and the Fall Out Boy rocker – who got engaged last month – have told guests to keep the day free although they have not let anyone know where the nuptials will take place.
A source said: “Proper invites have not been sent out but guests have been given a save the date notice.”
On Friday, close friends and family will join the couple for a rehearsal dinner. The following day, guests ‘will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location”.
Ashlee’s spokesperson has refused to confirm or deny the rumoured nuptials, saying: “This is a private matter. There is nothing to confirm.”
Ashlee and Pete announced their engagement last month, saying: “Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well-wishes – it means the world to us.’
It was later reported Ashlee was pregnant with the couple’s first child and are keen to tie the knot before the baby is born. A source said: ‘They’re keeping it quiet because they want to get married first.’
E! News is reporting that Miley Cyrus has found herself a new singing partner in the likes of John Travolta. Kelly Preston, John’s wife, told E! that “Johnny may sing [a duet] with Miley.” When Kelly was asked about Miley’s controversial Vanity Fair photos, she said “We [now] know Miley very well. and she’s a sweetheart. All I know is that I know her personally and she’s a really good girl with a great head on her shoulders.” John and Miley have already teamed up recently to lend their voice talents to an upcoming animated Disney film called ‘Bolt’ which opens in theatres everywhere on November 26.

Hollywood star Liv Tyler and her British rocker husband Royston Langdon have announced their separation, after five years of marriage.
Liv, 30 and Royston, 36, married in the Caribbean in 2003 and have a four-year-old son, Milo, together. The actress’s representative tells: “Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time.”
Gorgeous Liv prompted speculation of a split when she arrived at the glitzy New York Costume Institute Gala on Monday without a wedding ring.
It has been confirmed, Madonna is going on tour this fall. The Queen of Pop will kick off her ‘Stick & Sweet’ tour in Cardiff, Wales on the 23rd of August and will begin her North American leg of the tour in Rutherford, New Jersey on the 3rd of October. Currently, the end of her tour is listed to be on the 26th of November at the Miami Dolphin Stadium but it is also being noted that additional dates and venues may still be announced. Madonna’s new tour is also set to visit Mexico and South America later this year. Tickets of the first couple of dates on her tour go on sale on May 16th.
OK! magazine is reporting that Jordin Sparks is ready to sparkle once again as she’s officially back in business after her vocal cord injury. The American Idol champ has been forced to sit out opening dates of Alicia Keys’ North American tour due to an acute vocal cord hemorrhage condition. Now, Jordin has recently been seen filming her new promo, supposedly for the next single from her self-titled album, in Los Angeles. She appeared to be in good health and was all smiles during filming. She also told MTV “I’m feeling good… I want to tell my fans: Thank you for all the prayers and your concern. You guys are what keep me going, honestly. But not to worry! I’ll be better in no time!”
David Archuleta could probably cut the cheese and the American Idol judges would still give him a standing ovation. The youngest of the Idol contestants this year was pretty good on Tuesday but really, it was as if the judges were on auto-pilot to drool over him regardless of what he sang. They didn’t do this for Kelly Clarkson, and no offense, but David eats her dust. Idol has their paws on the recording contracts of the winners so it’s now a question on whether this is about talent or if David is more commercial and has a longer shelf life as compared to the others.
