With a high-profile soon to be ex-couple like Madonna and Guy Ritchie, it’s always a surprise when either or both of the people involved would like to keep things quiet. It’s being said that Guy is looking to keep the whole thing out of court. Friends spoke to UK’s Mirror saying that Guy’s trying to avoid a “final break” and doesn’t want to drag the battle into court even if it means he could get a lot of cash from it. A friend says “It’s not his style to start profiteering from such sorry circumstances.” He has taken informal legal advice from a London divorce firm though.

Ruslana Korshunova, just shy of her 21st birthday, was found dead after she apparently jumped from her apartment balcony on Saturday afternoon.

She has been featured on both Elle and Vogue and in advertisements for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Christian Dior, and Vera Wang. A spokesperson for her agency says, “Our hearts are with her family.”

Seems she had been out with a former boyfriend Artem Perchenok. However, she had also posted poems online that led many to speculate that she was mourning a love lost.

Joe Jonas recently spoke about writing songs and the meanings behind the songs he and his brothers write. The middle Jonas brother says “Even songs we write today, if you really listen to the lyrics, it can be about love songs, but it’s also about our relationship with God. It’s simple. We’re Christian guys in a rock ‘n’ roll band.” It might be tough for some people to believe what he and his brothers are preaching especially since we’ve heard all of it before but set these guys apart. They’ve definitely got conviction on their side. Not even being associated with Miley Cyrus would ruin these guys’ purity.

British model turned singer Agyness Deyn and Strokes member Albert Hammond Jr. are confirmed to be dating. According to New York magazine, the couple engaged in some PDA at the Songwriters Hall of Fame awards in New York City earlier in the week. When the couple was asked how they met, the supposedly “cast telling gazes into each other’s eyes” with Agy going on to say “That’s a bit personal, sorry.” Aww, no dish? But who wouldn’t be able to guess how anyway? She’s a model and he’s a musician – it’s just like bees to honey. I wonder how long they would last.

Heidi Montag has released another single of hers. Us Weekly’s website actually features the song called ‘Fashion’. I kind of like it – mostly for the fact that it’s very digitally enhanced and I could hardly tell that it’s Heidi singing. The less I’m imagining her, the better. The lyrics of the song says “Fashion, put it all on me, don’t you wanna see these clothes on me?”. It’s pretty reminiscent of Fergie’s ‘Labels or Love’ or even the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘My Humps’. Spencer has also commented on the song saying “It’s the greatest song of my life.” If that isn’t the gayest thing I’ve ever heard come out of his mouth…

Despite rumors that have been flying, it seems Amy Winehouse does NOT have tuberculosis. What she does have, though, is emphysema.

Emphysema is a disease of the lungs that is caused by excessive exposure to toxic chemicals. Umm, such as crack, perhaps? Her father is even speaking out, saying that Amy is going to die if she keeps up what she’s doing.

It’s sad, really, that she could actually hit number one music status and still be such a loser. She should focus on her, perhaps, umm, talents.

David Archuleta wasn’t able to attend his junior prom and it looks like he won’t be able to attend his senior prom too as the American Idol runner up has withdrawn from Murray High. Little D withdrew from his school during his run on the show but school officials have revealed that he hasn’t re-signed for his senior year which starts on August 25. It’s going to be tough for him to go to school anyway as he has to be on the road on the AI tour until September. It’s also being said that he’s going to be home schooled so he can work on his new album without having to worry too much about academic deadlines.

The Jonas Brothers are arguably the hottest thing since sliced bread. They’ve successfully brought back the boy band phenomenon, they sing, they act and they’re also really hot. And they just got even hotter as the band of brothers recently dropped the first single off their new album last week. ‘Burning Up’ also has a more dance and party feel than their previous stuff which should appeal past the tween audience. And if that’s not enough Jonas for you, they also released the video for the single not long after they released it on the radio. They’re feeding Jonas mania!

Jamie Lynn Spears has become a mother for the first time after giving birth to a baby girl. The 17-year-old actress, younger sister of troubled singer Britney Spears, had 7lb 11oz Maddie Briann yesterday morning at a Mississippi hospital.

Both mother and baby are doing well after Jamie Lynn’s natural delivery. During the labour at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center, Jamie Lynn was joined by her mother Lynne and fiance Casey Aldridge, while mother-of-two Britney waited anxiously outside.

A source said: “Just the family was there. Everyone is healthy and happy. Maddie is gorgeous.”

Casey, 19, was said to be nervous about holding his baby daughter for the first time as he thought he was going to drop her. Friends insist the ‘Zoey 101’ actress will make a fantastic mother. One said: “We’re so excited for her. She’ll be a great mom. She’ll be awesome. She was so excited about having this child. She was looking forward to it so much.”

Well, she’s working on it….Melanie Brown of Spice Girls fame is upset because Eddie Murphy got her pregnant and now doesn’t give a crap about their daughter.

She says she is writing a song about him that will be featured on her upcoming album. Geez…what’s with these folks writing hate ballads these days? She says, “The working title on my new song is Beverly Hills C**k because that is what he is. He never bothers with his daughter. I mean, what kind of man is that?”

It took her a long four years to ditch the dork, but Anne Hathaway finally seems to have some sense.

Anne dated Italian-American businessman Raffaelo Follieri, even though the rest of the world knew he was scum. His charity, Follieri Foundation, was supposed to fund vaccination programs in third world countries. Now, though, it is under investigation by the NY Attorney General.

Supposedly Anne ended the relationship because effects of his dealings could negatively affect her career. Umm, yeah, that tells me she knew something shady was going on.

The Jonas Brothers and ‘Camp Rock’ co-star Demi Lovato are featured on the cover of TV Guide’s latest issue to promote Disney Channel’s movie about a troubled troubadour, Shane Gray, who is played by Joe, who is shipped to teach at a music camp after one too many tabloid antics. In the interview accompanying the feature cover, 18-year old Joe says “Our dad says, ‘Live like you’re at the bottom even if you’re at the top’.” That’s some sound advice from Poppa Jonas. The more I hear of her, the more I think she’s a snotty beeotch. Now Katherine Heigl says she doesn’t want the Emmy nomination she got. Apparently it’s a protest of her character’s development on Grey’s Anatomy.

She says, “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and so, in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”

Apparently Jamie Lynn Spears has had enough of baby daddy Casey. She’s called off their upcoming wedding.

Her due date is July 17, but sources say Jamie Lynn has still decided that she just doesn’t want to marry Casey at this point. Rumors report that Casey has been cheating on Jamie Lynn, so she doesn’t want to commit to a lying sneak. Umm, smart move, I would say.

One can only hope Jamie Lynn has sense enough to raise this baby to be smarter than the rest of the crazy Spears family.

Brooklyn (age 9), Romeo (age 5), and Cruz (age 3) seemed to be having a magical time in the park. They did so much that Cruz even took a nap in his stroller!

Hayden Panettiere has been pretty quiet in the scenes recently, maybe because her career has been put on hold when ‘Heroes’ stopped airing. The company will help promoter her song ‘Wake Up Call’ from her upcoming album, which is set for a 2009 release via Hollywood Records. According to Ken Bunt, a senior VP of marketing for the record company, “‘Wake Up Call’ is a reggae-flavored pop song…” Can you say Paris Hilton’s ‘Stars are Blind’?

Alanis Morissette has wished her ex-boyfriend Ryan Reynolds and his new fiancee Scarlett Johansson good luck.

The ‘Ironic’ singer – who split from ‘Definitely, Maybe’ star Ryan last year after a four-and-a-half-year relationship – insists she is happy for the newly-engaged couple.

When asked if she finds it difficult to see Ryan has moved on, Alanis replied: “I have enough distance, so to be perfectly honest I’m not really that focused on it. I wish anyone whom I love, whether I hang out with them or not, great success and love in their life. So God speed.”

Alanis also revealed her break-up helped her focus on her songwriting, and provided her with inspiration for her new album ‘Flavors of Entanglement’.

She added: “In the middle of my break-up, I went to London for 12 days, wrote 12 songs. It was all very immediate and visceral. It was very in the moment. One of the main themes of this record is recovery, rising up from the ashes. So it’s sort of an unraveling of my own personal life, hitting my own rock bottom and rising up.”
