Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly started planning her wedding to Casey Alridge as the couple plans to walk down the aisle together before the end of the year. But unlike most celebrity couples, they’re not going to be married very far or at some celebrity resort. They are instead opting for something closer to home. A friend of the bride-to-be tells OK! “She loves everything about the area where she lives. She’s not going to get married at some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverly Hills. Her own backyard with just the people who matter most is more Jamie Lynn’s style.” Britney Spears is being slated as Jamie Lynn’s maid of honor.
ET reports that Miley Cyrus met up with the Muppets for a Disney Channel special. Let’s hope she didn’t go and corrupt those poor Muppets. The 15-year old Hannah Montana star joined the Jonas Brothers and High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale for a variety show filled with singing and dancing. That clears up why exactly Ashley was hanging out with Miley earlier this month. Spending time with the Jonas Brothers, the group of her ex Nick, may be why Miley apologized for her video rant about Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. The slut may have been told by her pure ex to shut it about his new lady love.
Peaches Geldof’s dramatic 999 collapse was caused by an overdose of HEROIN—the drug that killed her mum Paula Yates, it has been revealed.
The off-the-rails teenager is thought to have been experimenting with the deadly drug for the first time. It is believed she did not inject heroin—one of the most dangerous ways of taking it—but heated and inhaled it through a rolled-up bank note.
Friends feared she was following the same path as tragic TV star Paula, who died in 2000 aged 41.
But Peaches, 19, has told them last Sunday’s drama had been a massive wake-up call—and that she is going into rehab.
One pal said: “She was in a terrible state—not able to breathe for several minutes. She took a serious risk with her life and none of us could believe how far she went. Even Peaches can’t believe what she’s done, and wants to put it behind her. She was desperate for her dad Bob not to find out, and she has realized it can’t happen again.”
Her spokesman Ray Levine refused to comment.
But a source close to the young model and TV producer—who is a known cocaine abuser—said: “Peaches will go into rehab but she won’t be a prima donna. She will go in to clean up her act.”
Peaches collapsed at a flat in Camden, north London, and was revived by an ambulance crew. In May she was seen on video offering $380 to a drug pusher.
But the source said: “She is adamant she won’t follow her mother into an early grave.”
Jesse McCartney is the new face for Bongo brand’s fall 2008 ad campaign. The singer is the first solo male spokesperson to appear in the brand’s ads. When asked to comment about his participation on the campaign, Jesse said “There’s nothing better than a girl in a t-shirt and jeans so the Bongo shoot was a dream come true for me!” The brand will also be promoting Jesse when he goes on tour this August in a co-headlining gig with American Idol champion Jordin Sparks. Past Bongo spokeswomen have included the likes of Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie, Kristin Cavallari, Rachel Bilson and Vanessa Minnillo.
One of Miley Cyrus’ replacements celebrated her 16th birthday on Tuesday. But even though it was her special day, Selena Gomez still went to work in Hollywood on the set of her Disney show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’. On Saturday, the then 15-year old star filmed a music video for her song ‘Tell Me Something I Don’t Know’ which is going to be part of the soundtrack for her new movie ‘Another Cinderella Story’. There were about 50 teenagers that worked as extras in one of the dancing scenes. After the shoot, Selena signed autographs and posed for photos for every fan that asked.
In light of recent reports saying that they are already having trouble, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon made a very public appearance at Walt Disney World Resort on Tuesday in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. They even got cutesy with Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The 39-year old curvaceous diva and her 27-year old hubby also enjoyed some of the theme park’s rides including the Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, the famous indoor coaster Space Mountain and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The last two rides happen to be Nick and Mariah’s favorite rides respectively.

That should clear up why exactly he did a Jessica Simpson bit in a sports awards show.
There are times that I really start to feel sorry for Miley Cyrus because she’s never going to live that Vanity Fair scandal down. But those times are few and far between because she keeps doing or saying things that makes me think that she really deserves it. In a new interview with TV Guide, she says “I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of ‘Sex and the City.’” What 15-year old thinks of doing that? The irony of it all is that she talks about her big love for God and wearing a purity ring just like the Jonas Brothers. If you look at her photo leaks, you can pretty much see that Miley is anything but pure.
Rihanna is on the cover of the latest issue of InStyle magazine looking fresh and fabulous as always. In the accompanying interview, she talks about her hair, her style and even her future. On her future, she said “…In 10 years I want to have already started my family and have some business of my own. A fashion line, a makeup line, and I still want to be doing what I’m doing at a much bigger capacity—by the grace of God!” Well, she already has an umbrella line so I’m sure the whole business thing will work out soon. As for the family, I wonder if the not-yet-confirmed boyfriend Chris Brown is going to be part of her family picture.
After winning an Oscar, Jennifer Hudson goes back to her singing and we now have a preview of sorts for her debut album. The cover art for her self-titled album has just been revealed. Her album is set for release on September 30. Jennifer’s single ‘Spotlight’, which was written and produced by Ne-Yo and Stargate, is already out. Other rumored collaborators on the 26-year old American Idol alum include Akon, R. Kelly, John Legend, Jack Splash, Christopher ‘Tricky’ Stewart, Robin Thicke, Timbaland, T-Pain, The Underdogs and Diane Warren. That’s a lot of big name contributors. A list like that should have people expecting nothing but the best from her.
Ali Lohan, the younger sister of Lindsay Lohan, has released her first single to People. The 14-year old budding singer’s single is entitled ‘All the Way Around’. When she was asked what her sound is like, Ali first responded to the Miley Cyrus similarities to which she reacted with “She’s really good. But I have different music than her. It’s a different vibe – it’s definitely a different vibe. Mine is more hip-hop. Kind of like Rihanna.” Honey, stick to your own league. Miley Cyrus is much closer to yours. Rihanna is like the freaking edge of the universe for you. But hey, I can’t blame her for having ambitions.
Nicole Kidman and her country superstar husband Keith Urban are now the proud parents of a baby girl. The baby was born on Monday weighing in at 6 lbs, 7 oz and was named Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban. This is the first child together for the couple. Nicole has two other children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Their spokesman Paul Freundlich told People “Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well.” Congratulations to the couple! And welcome to the world Sunday Rose! The hunt for your picture has officially begun. I wonder if she’ll be featured in a cover of a magazine too.

The legendary MENUDO have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Now — two generations later — a new, updated version of MENUDO is back, with a contemporary sound and look, and the same universal appeal.
Carlos, Chris, Emmanuel, José and Monti came together on the MTV & MTV Tr3s reality series Making Menudo. Viewers watched every week as the guys went through a demanding “boy-band boot camp” designed by legendary pop impresario Johnny Wright (*NSYNC, Britney Spears). The task of becoming part of the new MENUDO required the chosen five members to take part in a rigorous process of musical, choreographic, and professional education. Although each member specializes in a particular type of music, the guys do it all and love the fact that the new MENUDO’s music crosses over several genres.
MENUDO have recorded more than 50 new songs for their first album due out September 9th and are already veterans after working with a wide variety of contemporary producers and writers including Danja (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake), J.R. Rotem (Usher, Destiny’s Child), and Akon. When asked about the album, José calls it “urban pop, R & B, ballads, Latin flavors, a little bit of electronic.” Monti adds, “Everybody can relate to it. We put a lot of emotion into our songs, so we want to touch lives, we want to touch people.”

Rumors are Hilary has been talking to psychics, particularly Tracy Williams, to see if it looks like Mike will work for her. A friend says, “She’s really into Mike and would like to get married and start a family, so she’s looking for a second opinion about whether he’d be a good fit for her in the long run.”
I’m guess he runs away here pretty soon because he is afraid of commitment.
Justin Timberlake is terrified of his mother. The ‘Love Guru’ star – who is dating actress Jessica Biel – admits he is not easily fazed, but his mom Lynn still makes him nervous.
He said: “I try not to be afraid of anything. I’m still afraid of my mother, but I think every grown man is!”
When asked what the best advice his mother had ever given him, Justin said: “She’d say, ‘Answer me when I ask you a question!’ and then I’d start to answer and she’d go, ‘Shut up when I’m talking.’”
However, Justin added he loves his mother because she encouraged him to follow his musical dream. He added: “One of my childhood idols was Michael Jordan, and my mom said that just because he plays basketball better than anyone on the face of the earth doesn’t mean he’s better than everyone. It just means he plays basketball better. I think my mom knew I had a knack for performing and wanted to instill in me that, basically, we all put our pants on the same way.”
Apparently, a shave, four years and growing out your hair can get you from hot to even hotter. Ben Barnes is a prime example of that. The ‘Prince Caspian’ star’s picture was taken back in February 2004 in London when he was still part of the pop group Hyrise. Yes, the hunk of a movie star had all the cheesy boy band dance moves a couple years back. Ben spoke of his music career saying “My pop career lasted for all of 4½ minutes. [My costars] were dancing to it, no matter what they say.” Regardless of that embarrassing blip of a music career, I still think he’s hot.
It isn’t due in theaters until October, but they are starting to leak out photos and info about High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
Most of the original cast members are back and are celebrating senior year, with the all important prom. Gabriella and Troy are as in love as ever, both on and off screen.
Hmm, sounds like a winner to me….but you know, it’ll be a box office smash because all the kids’ll be there.

Lily Allen’s paternal grandmother passed away while the singer was at the Glastonbury music fest last weekend. While most expected that she would have no-showed (which would have been understandable), even more were surprised when she took the stage as the planned special guest of Mark Ronson. Many thought that she wasn’t going to come after hearing the sad news. Lily spoke to the crowd saying “You know what? My nanny Allen died last night so, this one’s for you. I love you.” It was also said that her ex boyfriend Ed Simmons of the Chemical Brothers was present at the event in support of the grieving singer.
