Joe Jonas is now officially a high school graduate. One-third of the pop sensation, the Jonas Brothers, wasn’t able to go to a conventional school due to his work schedule so he was tutored on the road. The singer was presented with a cap, gown and diploma at the Jonas Brothers concert in Atlanta, Georgia last week to commemorate the occasion. 20-year old Kevin and 18-year old Joe are now free to live the rock star life but 15-year old Nick still has to do some homework. Oh well, he’s got a lot of years to party ahead of him.

Talk about bringing trashy to another level. Wannabe country singer Jessica Simpson is a Texas girl through and through even if Dallas Cowboys fan would disagree. In addition to hawking Proactiv and hair extensions, having her own line of shoes and handbags, the blonde is also going to be a beer model. Jess has signed on as a spokeswoman for Stampede Light Plus. The beer bills itself as a beer for active people. Jess will appear in ads in stores for the beer and is taking a 15% stake in the brewer. She said in a statement that as a businesswoman she’s “always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people.”

While the tennis stars are working hard on the court in Beijing Olympics 2008, the No 6 female tennis player and the darling of many hearts, Maria Sharapova is busy in promoting the new Canon PowerShot Diamond Collection of cameras.
Despite her shoulder injury, which stopped her to participate in Olympics, she actively contributed in the show.

Nick Jonas of the pop rock group the Jonas Brothers was looking dapper in a top hat as he rode a horse and carriage while filming a segment for the group’s 3D concert movie in New York City’s Columbus Circle last week. Things weren’t going as dapper for The Washington Post’s pop music critic J. Freedom du Lac as he was flamed by emails from readers who got angry at his characterization of Kevin saying “Nick Jonas (15; the cute one), Joe Jonas (nearly 19; the hot one) and Kevin Jonas (20; the other one).” He also adds that Kevin “has the misfortune — or, perhaps, the great fortune — of being in a band with two guys who tend to overshadow him.”

I have some sad news to tell for the fans of the Latin pop band RBD (Rebelde). The groups has just announced that they are retiring. The band has only been together for four years but they have already decided to call it quits and will be saying their goodbye in an upcoming farewell world tour. The news was confirmed by a statement from the band on their official site. According to them, all great bands must change and go through some transformations. Is that another way of saying that we’ll see them again in one form or the other? As of now, their final tour will be heading to Serbia, Slovenia, Venezuela, Argentina, Romania, Brazil, Peru, Los Angeles and Mexico.

Demi Lovato’s album cover for her debut album ‘Don’t Forget’ has been released. I like it. She’s giving us the sass that teenage girls have and the guitar is a big reminder that she’s actually talented and can play her own instruments (she can play piano and guitar). I like this CD cover better than Miley Cyrus’ cover for ‘Breakout’. Miley just looks like she’s trying too hard. One thing I can say about Demi’s cover though is that it looks a lot like No Doubt’s album cover for ‘Rocksteady’. But who says she can’t take any inspiration from them? Demi’s album will be out next month.

In a very futile attempt in saving the music industry and making the world a better place to live in, Heidi Montag has decided to release another single (GASP!)

“To coincide with tonight’s season 4 premiere of The Hills, Heidi Montag has released a new single.”
“‘Overdosin’” is about “when you fall in love with someone… and [you’re] just overdosing off of their love,” she said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM morning show.
Stop. Pause. Try not to hurt yourself! Doesn’t she remember what happened to her first single? Didn’t it bomb? Didn’t it fail, BIGTIME?
To give her benefit of the doubt, I decided (more like forced myself) to listen to a few lines of her new song. Now I regret listening to it as the line “I can’t get enough of you” is in overdrive in my head.
All in all, the only way Heidi is going to sell records is by putting her title into action.

Peaches Geldof got married because she was depressed, her sister claimed last night.

Model Pixie, 17, said their family are still scarred from the overdose death of mum Paula Yates in 2000.
She said of Peaches: “She’s got problems just like all of us have about what happened to my mum. I’ve been in therapy not long ago and she has had a hard time. That’s why she has done drugs and why this wedding happened too. We’re all depressed in our family.”

Wild child Peaches, 19, wed US rocker Max Drummey, 23, in Las Vegas two weeks ago. She later flew to Majorca to join furious dad Sir Bob and Pixie on holiday.

Peaches has had angry showdowns with the Live Aid hero and has not yet left the $8million luxury villa.

But a pal of Peaches, who recently collapsed from a drugs overdose, insisted she IS in love.

The friend said: “She insists it’s not a sham. The flash point will be when Bob meets Max for the first time this week.”

Jordin Sparks decided to help out at the Do Something 101 School Supply Volunteer Event which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last week. The American Idol champ had fun with hundreds of teen volunteers who were gathered at the Staples Center in support of the campaign to collect school supplies for students in need. One of her fellow American Idol alums, Jon Peter Lewis, was also there in support of the event. Jordin wasn’t in LA just to participate in a charity event though as she also performed live at the Orpheum Theater later that night.

With her best friend Demi Lovato releasing her own album, you have to wonder when Selena Gomez is releasing hers. Selena has recently revealed to MTV that she doesn’t want to release her own album but rather wants it to be a band thing. She says “I’m going to be in a band — no Selena Gomez stuff. I’m not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don’t want my name attached to it.” I think that’s code for not having to suck center stage. She does admit that the whole music thing is new to her and that she’s determined to not bite off the styles of other artists.

Ashley Tisdale made an OMG moment for a couple of her biggest fans at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles last week as the winners of Degree Girl’s Ultimate OMG Contest enjoyed a private performance from the High School Musical actress. The 22-year old blonde personally chose the seven lucky winners based on the OMG moments they shared on DegreeGirl.com. I’m not really sure how much of an OMG moment Ashley would have created though. If I were a teen and would have wanted an OMG moment, I would have picked Zac Efron to have been there rather than Ashley. Considering I think Zac is gay, that says something.

JoJo has revealed she was offered the role of Hannah Montana in the hit Disney TV show.

The R’n’B singer – who shot to fame with ‘Leave (Get Out)’ in 2004 –considered taking the part but eventually decided starring in the series about a teenager who leads a double life as a schoolgirl during the day and pop star at night was not for her.

When asked if she regretted turning down the role which has made 15-year-old Miley Cyrus a household name, JoJo said: “No regrets. No regrets at all. Yeah, Disney offered me the role but it’s not really what I see for myself.”

JoJo, 17, also said another reason she turned down the role was because she didn’t want to move to Los Angeles, where the show is filmed.

She added: “I still live in New England. I’m an east coast girl until I die and I still live with my mom.”

14-year old aspiring singer Aliana Lohan recently said in an interview that she plans to go out on tour. She said “Yeah, I’m definitely thinking about it because I want to show my fans and people that I can sing live and it’s really me. I saw some comments on YouTube saying ‘That’s not her voice’ and ‘She sounds way too old.’ It upset me so I want to show people that it is my voice and it is me.” Not only does she look older than 14 but she also sounds older than 14. Now what tween, which is basically her market audience, would want to listen to her?

Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez are still pretty reluctant to confirm whether they really are boyfriend and girlfriend and they’re showing that by exhibiting some savvy Hollywood behavior. However, they’re not as coy as they think as the duo revealed their relationship in two different interviews. Selena told Twist “I had dinner on the beach with a crush and there were lights on the palm trees! Then, went walking on the beach, and after that we slow danced. Wait, it gets better. While we were slow dancing…my crush and I had our first kiss! And after it, I leaned back and I said, ‘You cheated.’ And he said, ‘Why’ and I said, ‘I don’t kiss on the first date.’ Then he said, ‘Well, I never really play by the rules.’ I was waiting for a a director to say, ‘Cut’ I was like, ‘Are we shooting this right now?” Nick said to Girl’s Life “On one date, the girl said to me, ‘I don’t kiss on the first date.’ So I said, ‘I don’t follow the rules.’” Busted!

Disney’s good girls meet up with the black sheep of the empire as lifelong friends Selena and Demi take what I would think was an uncomfortable picture with Miley at the Teen Choice Awards which was held in LA on Sunday. I wonder if Miley chatted with Selena about Nick Jonas. Miley was probably plotting how to get rid of Selena and Demi as she was posing for this picture. We all know how she hates the fact that they’re being called Miley 2.0s.

Lily Allen has proved you should never revisit past relationships — by splitting from Ed Simons again.

The singer used the internet to reveal her newly single status by updating her Facebook profile.

It baffles me why anyone, let alone a celeb, would see fit to announce that online.

Ed and Lily first split in February but grew close again at this summer’s Glastonbury, where the Chemical Brother comforted her over the death of her nana.

On July 7, Lily changed her status on the social networking site to “in a relationship with Ed Simons”.

But in the early hours of Thursday, she updated her page to say she was single again.

Yesterday, an upset Lily posted that she was “wasting away”.

Agyness Deyn’s boyfriend, Albert Hammond Jr., has cancelled his solo Australian tour due to a severe throat infection. His reps say that the singer lost his voice and had been advised against performing by his doctor. However, the singer was spotted frolicking around New York City with his model girlfriend earlier this past week. He doesn’t look very sick if you ask for my opinion. It looks like someone’s skipping on the job. He’s not even that famous and he’s already got diva behavior. Wait a minute, maybe he cancelled because he isn’t that famous. Do you get what I’m saying? He could have undersold his tour due to lack of fans and just opted to ditch the whole thing.
