While the tennis stars are working hard on the court in Beijing Olympics 2008, the No 6 female tennis player and the darling of many hearts, Maria Sharapova is busy in promoting the new Canon PowerShot Diamond Collection of cameras.
Despite her shoulder injury, which stopped her to participate in Olympics, she actively contributed in the show.
At least one thing has become clear that the diamonds are really a girl’s best friend. They have forced a star to pose with her shoulder injury still recovering or was it the money involved in the shoot?
Canon is giving away five diamond-studded PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital ELPH cameras on their website as a part of the promotion. Each one is encrusted with 88 white diamonds around its crust. These are valued at $12,000 each.
On the occasion, Sharapova expressed her passion for photography to the audience, saying that she is always the “dork” who takes pictures of everything.
