A 10-year old girl has stolen the thunder from Susan Boyle! The plain-looking spinsterish Susan Boyle got the world in a huff when her “I Dreamed A Dream” video clip got millions of hits in YouTube. However, barely a month after her new-found fame, the thunder has been stolen from Susan Boyle by no less than a kid named Hollie Steel.
There are people advising Susan Boyle to just quit “Britain’s Got Talent” and do her own public relations by inking a recording deal. The belief is that Susan Boyle would not have a chance to win “Britain’s Got Talent” now that Hollie Steel is there. For sure, the producers will introduce other talent wonders in the show in the coming weeks. However, there are those who believe that Susan Boyle has an edge over Hollie Steel since she has a better voice.
The hit movie Twilight seems to be a fodder for relationships and now the sequel New Moon seems to follow suit. After the still-being-talked-about budding romance between Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart here comes “New Moon” star Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez.
Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez were spotted dining and spending time watching a movie in Vancouver. Taylor Lautner is presently shooting “New Moon” in Vancouver while Disney favorite Selena Gomez is there shooting for the movie “Ramona and Beezus” which is a favorite and well-loved Vancouver children’s book. However, Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez are not doing the rounds alone because they have the mom of Selena Gomez going with them for chaperone duties when they had coffee at Caffe Artigiano.
The 15-year-old actress recently had to get drunk for her role in Push, directed by Paul McGuigan, despite the fact she’s never been drunk in real life.
She said: “I don’t think there’s anything that I wouldn’t do for a movie,” Dakota added to Scottish newspaper the Daily Record: “You have to put your whole self into it, and be willing to do anything and everything for the character.”
She added: “What I love about acting is that you can just go there and do those things.”
Dakota also revealed it is her family and friends that keep her grounded as a child star and don’t let her go along the same path as other child stars including Britney Spears and Macaulay Culkin.
She said: “I have such a great support system in my family and friends and the people I work with. And I don’t foresee this happening to me.”
She added: “There’s always the experimenting with make-up and the fun part of it, but there’s no need to grow up any faster than I will, you know?”

It looks like leaking some of her tracks online worked as the starlet has just signed a deal with Universal Republic Records. She said “I’m thrilled to be welcomed into the Universal Republic fold. Jenny Garth and husband Peter Facinelli of Twilight visited Disneyland ala Cinderella and the Prince. The couple was with their children but Jennifer Garth came with a bandaged right foot which was a result of an earlier home injury. Instead of staying home and be lonely Jenny Garth gamely visited the Park with her family and even made it the center of fun for the group.
Peter Facinelli, who plays the head of the vampire family in Twilight, played another role in Disneyland and this time he was Cinderella’s prince. Peter Facinelli was photographed holding up the glass-slipper to Jenny Garth’s bandaged foot with the Park as a background. Jenny Garth’s bandaged foot will not however affect her work since there is no shooting schedule for “90210″.
Ashley Tisdale has just premiered the video for her single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The Scott Speer (The Veronicas, Jordin Sparks) directed video features 90210’s Adam Gregory as Ashley’s ex-boyfriend. “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will appear on the forthcoming Guilty Pleasure due out on June 16th. Breathe easy, Ugly Betty fans – TV chiefs have confirmed the show is returning for a new series.
It was feared the comedy drama was facing the axe after a ratings dip and its recent removal from the TV schedule.
But ABC has announced it is among the network’s early pick-ups for 2009-10.
It will be the fourth series for the show, starring America Ferreira as the geeky outsider at a New York fashion magazine.
Other prime-time shows getting the green light for new series include the ratings hit Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives and Lost.
Ugly Betty was temporarily dropped from its regular Thursday night slot on ABC and replaced with an all-sitcom comedy block, leading fans to fear the worst.
Kate Voegele has revealed some new details about the upcoming music video for her single “99 Times.” The video will feature Kate alongside the reigning Dancing With The Stars’ champ, Derek Hough. The clip will be shot in Los Angeles with director Frank Borin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem).

Victoria Beckham is getting animated for kids cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants.
The Spice Girl will stay Posh for the role by playing Queen Amphitrite, goddess of the sea, in an new episode titled Neptune’s Party, according to US reports.
And Posh isn’t the only star getting a part in the show about a sea sponge and his underwater adventures.
Johnny Depp is set to star as surfer Jack Kahuna Laguna in the Nickelodeon show’s 10th-anniversary episode, SpongeBob vs. the Big One, airing in the US on April 17.

However, a helicopter hovered above the Beverly Hills home of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and disturbed the kids and the other guests. The Beverly Hills Police Department reported that the helicopter carried paparazzi. The Beverly Hills Police asked the Los Angeles Police Department to send their own chopper but the LAPD said the airspace is the responsibility of the FAA. In the end what was planned to be a small party for Suri Cruise turned into a circus no thanks to the paparazzi stunt.
The Twilight sequel “New Moon” is said to be experiencing delays not because of its stars but because of an alleged lawsuit filed against author Stephanie Meyer. This was however denied by a representative of Summit Entertainment who said that the shooting and production of “New Moon” has never been halted. There is also no truth to reports that claims of plagiarism have been filed against Stephanie Meyers which means it is all a hoax.
Summit Entertainment said people should not be duped easily considering the Internet’s susceptibility as a breeding ground for hoaxes and detractors. The denial from the producers came amidst unconfirmed reports that a college room mate of Stephanie Meyers sued her for idea infringement. Sources from the Utah Courts however said they do not have any records of a complaint from a certain Heidi Stanton who was supposedly Stephanie Meyer’s room mate. “New Moon” started shooting in Vancouver in March.
The Hannah Montana actress says she’s become holier since getting together with the 20-year-old and regularly leafs through her precious bible.
“I’ve never been closer to the Lord since I met him,” she told popular US chat show hostess Rachael Ray.
“He’s really made me read my Bible. He’s made me actually read the stories in the Bible – not the quick little verses – that not only help me, but show you how to help other people.”
Miley revealed that she wasn’t immediately attracted to Gaston when her father Billy Ray Cyrus introduced them.
“Honestly, I didn’t like him at first,” the 16-year-old said.
“I was like, ‘Great, another song writer. This should be fun’.”
But she soon realised he was “like, the coolest guy”.
“He’s very cute,” she gushes. “But I don’t think he gets as much credit as he should because he’s a really good guy.”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant.
The actress, 31, and her actor husband Freddie Prinze Jr, 33, are expecting their first child in autumn.
“They’re very excited,” a source close to the couple told People.
Gellar met Prinze on the set of the 1997 horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer.
They started dating in 2000 and wed in a lavish ceremony in Mexico on September 1, 2002.
Although she is best known by her birth name, the actress legally changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze to celebrate the couple’s fifth year of marriage in 2007.
She is best known for her role as Buffy Summers in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel.
The actress ended her role as Buffy in 2003 after a seven-year run but has recently been rumoured to be planning a feature-length film.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson have just decided to show off the Disney themed bedroom of their 4-month old baby boy Bronx Wentz. The 29-year old rocker wrote “I know we’ve been very protective over our son and what people see. But everyone knows we’re huge Disney fans and we wanted to give the peeps over at Disney Consumer Products a shout-out for coming in and helping design his nursery. These are pictures of the walls before we got all his gear in there. The chalk board is real. We also had the artist that draws Pooh do the art…. Eeyore’s tail is velcroed on.” Cool. High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has split with boyfriend Jared Murillo, according to US reports.
“They have not been dating for a while now,” a source close to the couple said. “They just grew apart, but are remaining friends.”
Tisdale, 23, began dating back-up dancer Murillo, 20, in March 2007 and the pair were snapped buying promise rings at Na Hoku jewellers in Los Angeles.
Tisdale has also revealed who her ideal man would be. She said: “Someone you can be comfortable with. I always have to be dressed up all the time for my work, so when I’m home I just like to be in sweats and comfortable. Someone you can laugh with, someone you can have fun with. I love to laugh and laugh at myself.”

Through a “tweet” on Twitter.com today, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND have announced that they are giving away their new single, “Funny the Way It Is,” as a free download for one week. Dave (@davejmatthews) and bassist Stefan Lessard (@slessard) are both very active on Twitter, keeping touch with their huge fanbase and decided it was the perfect place to get the word out. The song comes off their upcoming album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, which hits stores on June 2nd. It will be the band’s first studio album since the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore last summer. The “GrooGrux King” in the album title refers to Moore’s nickname within the group. Matthews created all of the artwork for Big Whiskey, including the richly detailed cover illustration that puts a GrooGrux spin on New Orleans’ traditional Mardi Gras parades while evoking the joy and the sorrow expressed in the album’s songs. Matthews has designed logos and other elements in the past, but this is the first time he has created the entire packaging for a Dave Matthews Band album.
Guitarist Tim Reynolds will play on the album, making it his first recording with DMB since 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets. The album was produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Goo Goo Dolls). Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King will also feature the recording debuts of Rashawn Ross who joined the band in 1996 but hadn’t played on any of their studio releases yet and Moore’s replacement, saxophonist Jeff Coffin who also is a member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. DMB just released a trailer for the new album which can be seen below.

Ashley Tisdale has just released her brand new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The track premiered earlier this morning live with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.
“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”
An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend.
