On Monday, a Malawian judge held a closed-door hearing with Madonna regarding her application to adopt a little girl named Mercy. The hearing was adjourned until Friday. It’s being said that Mercy’s grandmother is causing a bit of a stir at the prospect of the Queen of Pop adopting the baby. Why now? Mercy has been living in an orphanage for years and a life living with Madonna and her family would be so much better than being parentless. But then again, there’s even more controversy with how fast this adoption is going. We need some more details on this.

Despite earlier suggestions to the contrary, Rihanna is reportedly refusing to cooperate with the Los Angeles District Attorney prosecuting Chris Brown. Apparently, the misguided Barbadian babe just wants the whole thing to go away and is not pleased with the leaked police photo or being immediately identified as the R&B singer’s victim. However, her lack of cooperation may backfire since it turns her into an enabler rather than a sympathetic victim and commercial sponsors may not be down with that. Regardless of her participation, the DA has already got a good case against Chris. Whether she likes it or not, it’s likely that justice will be served.

The actor recently admitted to having a bit of an interest in Barbie dolls due to his nine year-old daughter, Meadow. Paul Walker said: “Meadow is definitely a girly girl. She likes to bake stuff with me and I’ve even played Barbies. Whenever I’m on location she comes and visits me. So she’s seen a lot of cool places, and I love to hang out with her. I think my mom put it best. She said, ‘Little girls soften their daddy’s hearts.’” That may very well be true, but Paul Walker never really gave away this tough-guy image… despite his parts in the “Fast and Furious” series. Sure, that show was all tough-guys in bad-ass cars, but deep down inside Paul Walker always seemed to be a sortie with an affinity for pink.
