Jessica Biel has confessed that she wanted to be a singer like Whitney Houston before she chose to star in Hollywood movies.
The 27-year-old star revealed she has a hidden musical theatre background and that she aspired to be like the famous singer in an interview with Parade magazine.
Biel said: “I know nobody really knows this about me, but I really started in musical theater doing Annie and The Sound of Music. I wanted to be Whitney Houston. That was my dream.”
The 7Th Heaven star also admitted that if the project was right, she would consider working with boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
“If it was the right thing, yeah. I would love to co-star with Justin. I just don’t know what the right thing is, though,” Biel told the US tabloid.
Next up for Biel is a part in Guys and Dolls, due to premiere at the Hollywood bowl in the summer.
She revealed: “I auditioned for a summer production of Guys and Dolls at the Hollywood Bowl.
“I thought: ‘Well, I’m not a soprano anymore, but I guess I’ll go in for it’.
” I literally walked in and said: ‘I can do this song but we’re going to have to drop it down a few notes’. Actually, I did pretty well and I got the part of Sandy, which I’ll be performing later this summer,”

A TV program underway about the relationship of Prince William and Kate Middleton has fuelled rumours of the couple’s impending engagement.
The BBC, producing the program, has set off a furor after letting slip it might be a wedding special, according to an Australian report.
The program is provisionally titled Their Story, and Clarence House is reported to have confirmed it is aware of its being made.
However, a BBC executive was reported as saying that the production would not be made during the recession unless there was a certain outcome – an engagement.
“Believe me, in these straightened times we would not be spending money on this programme if we had not been assured that they were definitely going to get engaged,” the senior executive was quoted as saying.
