Debbie Rowe referred to her children with Michael Jackson as “the ultimate love children” in an ‘unseen’ TV interview that has recently come to light.
“[They] are the ultimate love children, if it had not been for how much I loved him [Michael], I would never have had children,” Rowe, who had two children with the late star, told ABC in an interview in 2003.
Rowe and Jackson had their two children together after the break-up of his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.
“He really wanted to be a dad,” revealed Rowe.
“I said, ‘So be a dad’, and he looked at me puzzled, and I said, ‘Let me do this. I want to do this… you need to be a dad.’”
In the interview, Rowe also claims she is responsible for making her children wear veils to conceal their identity.
“That was my request not his… I am the one who is terrified, I am the one that has seen the notes saying that someone is going to take his children.”
Rowe also defended Jackson against claims that he was a paedophile.
“He is not a paedophile. He would never do anything inappropriate with a child ever, it is not in him.”
She added, “He has always been there for me from the day I met him, I could do something for him and this [having children for him] is what I wanted to do.”
Rowe was not expected to show at Jackson’s public memorial today in Los Angeles.
