The Hannah Montana star, who recently split with her boyfriend Justin Gaston, says she gave the Twilight hunk a hug at the recent Teen Choice Awards and instantly felt an attraction to him.
The 16-year-old had previously told her Twitter followers that she was baffled by the hype surrounding the star.
She wrote on her Twitter page: “Gave a hug to Rob Pattinson today. Ok girls I get it now. So cute. Sorry “Robby” bout all my bashing in my past 
(sic)”
Miley, who sparked controversy by pole-dancing on stage at the Teen Choice Awards, joins a long line of stars to fall for Pattinson’s charms.
Singer Pixie Lott recently admitted she has a thing for him, saying: “I really like Robert Pattinson. I can’t wait for the new Twilight film to come out.”
And screen sirens Megan Fox and Emma Roberts, as well as hip-shaking singer Shakira have previously gushed about the heartthrob.
