After having a lovely time at the Teen Choice Awards last Sunday night, Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter to thank everyone who has given her a new nickname. The singer and actress said “For all the people calling me the “next Britney” THANK U. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment.” Who exactly are these people and could they ever be more wrong? If Miley needed any indication that she is in no way the next Britney, she could just ask the pop star herself. Britney epically snubbed Miley while she was presented an award at the ceremony from the tween.

American Idol champ Carrie Underwood has been selected as one of three musicians that will be inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame this year in September. Is Oklahoma that starved for musicians to honor? The country singer is still pretty young to be inducted into a Hall of Fame. But in any case, she already is pretty deserving of that accolade. She’s already achieved so much in her short career and we all know that there’s more to come from her in the future. Carrie joins keyboardist Rocky Frisco and vocalist Ramona Reed.
