Graphic nude scenes were part of getting into character for the role of Jason Stackhouse in True Blood, says Australian actor Ryan Kwanten.
“I feel like it’s something Jason my character would actually do,” he said. “I never feel like I’m putting myself out on a wire because the writing is always so good as well. And most of the time the actresses are more nervous than me anyway.”
Kwanten added: “I usually just try and cater the body to the role. Obviously Jason is someone who looks after himself. He’s very vain. He’s aware of his looks, so it’s important that I stay on top of it. But I also just enjoy fitness in general.”
Kwanten says many people in the US are surprised to learn he is Australian. “It’s a nice compliment to get even American people or people in the South coming up and saying where in the South am I from, and then when I actually talk they think I’m putting this accent on.” He attributes his success to being able to handle the setbacks. “Obviously you’ve got to have the talent but what I think is so important in this town as well is to have resilience and tenacity. You’ve got to be able to deal with rejection, more so than any other job. Even in a good year you’re still getting rejected more than 90 per cent of the time.”

Actor Robert Pattinson and the rest of the Twilight cast are free to party.
Reports recently saying that Rob and the rest of the Twilight gang have been told to calm down partying are apparently rubbish.
The cast of the vampire series were supposedly placed “on lock-down” by the movie’s director, but this has been said to be untrue.
A spokesperson for Summit Entertainment said: “The idea that there is a lockdown is completely false.”
Cast members haven’t just been returning to their hotel rooms and instead have been spotted
enjoying meals together and other activities.
The cast are free to do as they want but must remain professional on set.
