Their much-anticipated Twilight-style show may have only just premiered on US television – but the sexy stars of The Vampire Diaries already have their own celebrity mugshots.
Three of the teen drama’s young actresses were arrested after complaints that they were “flashing motorists” on a bridge in the small town where the series is shot.
Based on a book series of the same name, The Vampire Diaries premiered on US television this week.
It is expected to become a huge hit on the back of the current vampire craze begun by teen film saga Twilight and TV’s more adult-orientated True Blood.
Lead Nina Dobreva, 20, who is tipped to become a teen icon, and co-stars Candice Accola, 22, and Kayla Ewell, 24, were among a group shooting promotional pictures in Smarr, near Atlanta, Georgia, when police were called.
According to the police report, complainants said the group were “hanging from” the bridge as well as “flashing motorists”.
An officer inspected photographer Tyler Shields’ camera and, according to the police report, it had numerous pictures showing “the females hanging, sitting and straddling the bridge.”
Shields and the three actresses – along with two other women – were arrested on disorderly conduct charges on August 22.
The photographer paid the $4,000 fine to settle the charges, according to TSG.com.
