New Moon star Kristen Stewart is to play a Marine in an upcoming movie called An American Girl.

Kristen, 19, is best-known for her role as Bella Swan in the hit vampire series Twilight, and she will now be starring in the new flick by James Woods.

The film is about a woman who finds herself wasting her life through drink and drugs after leaving high school in a town in Indiana.

During one particular night of drinking, she has sex with a man in a quarry.

Woods said: “She gets taped doing it on somebody’s phone and in a small town, her reputation is ruined – on a drunken whilm, she joins the Marines.”

Her character then sobers up and learns life lessons as a marine. Woods said that he didn’t want anybody but Kristen for the role: “It’s a phenomenal story and a slam-dunk Oscar for her.”
