Atonement star James McAvoy has refused to work with his wife Anne-Marie Duff in case they become a ‘target’.

McAvoy, 30, is married to Scottish actress Duff, 39, and they will not work together like other doomed couples such as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.

The wedded couple appear together in new movie The Last Station but do not play opposite each other in the flick.

He said: “We’ve been offered a hell of a lot of parts playing opposite each other in films and TV and we just turn them down.

“If you do work together, you put yourself up – you make yourself a target and all of that. We’re very keen not to do that.

“But in The Last Station. we don’t play opposite each other in the film.

“We don’t really act with each other hardly at all.”

New Moon star Kristen Stewart isn’t close to everyone on the set of the movie series, her co-star Billy Burke has revealed.

Burke, 43, plays Charlie Swan in the films, and his on-screen daughter Bella is played by Kristen Stewart, 19.

He admitted that he isn’t as close to Stewart as some of the other cast members are.

He said: “I wouldn’t say we’re close. We get along really well. We don’t have a hugely close relationship that we hang out all the time, but we do hang out on set.”

Asked who he is closest to, he added: “I actually have dinner and drinks more often with Rob [Pattinson] and Ashley [Greene]. My wife is close friends with Ashley, and Rachelle Lefevre is also a good friend.”

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has said it can feel like you are a ‘zoo animal’ sometimes as a celebrity.

The 22-year-old actress plays Serena van der Woodsen in the US TV series and she said the media interest can sometimes feel too much.

She said to Parade.com: “The paparazzi frenzy and the media frenzy that is happening right now is really kind of out of control. For me, it’s very important to keep my personal life personal.

“It’s odd sometimes when people look at you like a zoo animal when you’re at a restaurant eating dinner. People are staring at you and pulling out their camera phones.

“I’m just a human being and sometimes a messy eater – so it’s really unpleasant to be scrutinised like that.”

Tokio Hotel took home the award for Best Group earlier this month at MTV’s European Music Awards where they also gave an electrifying performance of “World Behind My Wall.” This guitar-charged ballad is their new, official focus track in the US and follows “Automatic” as the second single off of Humanoid. The 28-year-old beauty is well-known for her curvaceous body and has teamed up with the US chain for a new commercial to promote their salad range.

She said on her blog: “I’ve teamed up with Carl’s Jr to make a sexy new commercial for their premium salad range!

“I love Carl’s Jr… we used to go a lot as kids, and I do love a good burger every now and then! But I’m trying to be a lot healthier and the new premium salad range really fits in with my healthier lifestyle.

“You can definitely eat fast food and still try to be healthy! It’s just about balance and picking the right foods.”

Brody Jenner’s girlfriend Jayde Nicole has reportedly put him ‘on probation’.

Nicole, 23, is dating TV star Jenner, 26, and sources claim she is angry at The Hills star for something he’s done.

A source claims that the Shrine restaurant and club at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas offered to have Nicole for dinner, but she refused the offer and stayed in her room to watch The Hills.

A source said: “She was laughing hysterically at it and saying that they cut it to make her look like a total b***h.

“Our intern was talking to her later and she said that Doug Reinhardt was a really good guy, but that he’d turned into a horrible human being since he started dating Paris.”

The source added: “She said that Brody is on probation. He was texting and calling her the whole night, but she only replied once to say: ‘You’re on probation.’”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has fuelled rumours she has split with boyfriend Jay Barrymore after she was spotted with a Spanish rock star.

The 19-year-old actress shot to fame after playing swot Hermione Granger in the hit wizard movie series.

She recently moved to the US to start studying at the Ivy League Brown University in Rhode Island.

Her boyfriend Jay Barrymore, 26, was reportedly worried that Watson would find someone else once she relocated to the States and she has now been spotted sitting with rocker Rafael Cebrian at an ice hockey match in New York.

Cebrian, who is a drummer with the Spanish rock group the Monomes, is also studying at the same university as Watson.

Looks like something has recently happened to Miley Cyrus that gave her a real boost of self confidence as she has admitted to thinking she is the coolest person ever. I hope you’re hungry… eat up I love u!.” She also added the following heart-warming message: “To all my beautiful fans, I love you more than anything. Thank u 4 making the fame monster number 1 on itunes. You are the only reward I need x gaga.” How nice of Lady GaGa to reward her fans’ loyalty. When everybody else hears that there is free pizza involved, many more may flock to her banners… after all, it’s not like it’s the music that’s important.

New Moon star Ashley Greene said she didn’t eat a lot to get in shape for the new movie.

Greene, 22, plays the role of Alice Cullen in the hit Twilight saga and admitted that healthy food was the key to a slim figure.

She said to Usmagazine.com: “It was really easy. We were working 12 hours a day, so it didn’t leave too much time to eat.”

She added that when she did eat she chose to consume ‘really healthy stuff, which was nice’.

Greene added: “We had a personal trainer and then we also had fight training. It was a good four hours a day of training.”

The vampire star now stays in shape by doing Pilates six times a week.

She said: “I do it early in the morning. It wakes you up, and it’s kind of refreshing.

“And that is basically it. Sometimes cardio. I am not a big weight person because when I do weights I build muscle mass.”

Well, nobody’s erected a statue of her just yet, but in a manner of speaking, that’s exactly what has happened. The singer’s scheduled appearance at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island this week-end apparently turned into a fiasco considering that 3000 girls showed up to meet him. Also, not only was the crowd huge beyond any reckoning, but they were also violent and didn’t obey the police instructions so a few people got hurt and somebody even got arrested. So the next time Justin Bieber comes to a town near you, be prepared for all hell to break loose. Hell hath no fury like a teenage girl’s hormones when Justin Bieber is in town. From now on, that expression will probably replace the old one.

Accidentally On Purpose star Ashley Jensen has said she has a “real respect” for women after giving birth to her son.

Jensen, 40, recently gave birth to her first child, son Francis “Frankie” Jonathan, and she was only able to take a small amount of maternity leave because of the tight schedule for new show Accidentally On Purpose.

She said to UK newspaper The Independent: “I had a week off before he was born, three weeks off after he was born, and then I went back to work last week. But the studio is just 15 minutes away. I’ve got a dressing room so I can take my little boy in with me.”

Frankie is the first child for Jensen and her British actor hubby Terence Beesley and asked how she is finding motherhood, she said: “To be honest, I’m just stumbling from day to day at the moment. It’s all about routine, and it’s very all-consuming.”

She added: “One thing it has given me is a real respect for womankind. Giving birth is amazing, and such a great leveller.”

Yet another singer and actress has declared her distaste when it comes to the ravenous fad that is the Twilight series. Selena Gomez recently admitted that she’s not a big fan of the popular show for teenagers: “I don’t watch them. Sorry, I feel bad … even though I am a teenager.” You’d think she regrets it, given her words… but Selena Gomez probably just has some rough spots with regards to her former boyfriend, Taylor Lautner and the fact that he’s got a leading part in the movie. You don’t hear Taylor Swift complaining about not liking the movie.

In a recent interview, Miley Cyrus was adamant in saying that she is not a ‘Twilight’ fan nor will she ever be. The singer/actress told a Cleveland radio station “I don’t believe in it. I don’t like vampires. … I don’t like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I’m watching my TV at night. I don’t like it. I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t like the shirts. I don’t like any of it.” Maybe she’s just jealous that she has less fans than the cast considering they were virtual unknowns before the movie became a hit.

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz couldn’t get into his own party in Los Angeles.

The actor, who plays Emmett Cullen in the hit vampire flick, turned up at the bash following the premiere of the latest film in the series.

But despite hundreds of screaming girls chanting his name outside, security at the event at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles refused him entry because they had no idea who he was – much to his anger.

An insider revealed: “He just snapped at the bouncer after a few seconds.

“It looked like things were getting physical between them.

“Lutz yelled to the crowd, ‘They won’t let me into my own party!’”

In video of the incident shot by paparaazi, the crowd can be heard chanting, “Let him in! Let him in!” before a security guard ushers Lutz, 24, past the rope.

It seems that the singer was recently spotted dating Wilmer Valderrama, the ex-boyfriend of Lindsay Lohan. A source who apparently caught a glimpse of Avril Lavigne and her new boyfriend related the following: “She had her hand on his knee and they were whispering in each other’s ear, laughing. They even closed the club, sneaking out just after 2am.” Well… why not? After all, Lindsay Lohan is one step away from total meltdown according to her friends, Avril Lavigne probably isn’t crossing any unmarked boundaries. Let her have some fun… while it lasts!

Good Charlotte star Joel Madden has said he ‘feels great already’ after giving up smoking one week ago.

The 30-year-old admitted that he has given up smoking and is already feeling the benefits seven days on.

Joel recently became a dad for the second time when his girlfriend Nicole Richie, 28, gave birth to their son Sparrow in September.

He said on Twitter: “Yes I quit smoking. Finally. so far so good. Cold turkey the only way to go.”

Joel later added: “Yes thank you for all the well wishes. Almost a week with not a single smoke. I’m feeling good about being a quitter. I only smoked for about 4 years.

“I had to quit. I feel great already. If you smoke you should try taking a week off. your lungs will thank u.”

New Moon star Kellan Lutz has denied that he ever had a relationship with actress AnnaLynne McCord.

Lutz, 24, who plays Emmett Cullen in the hit vampire series, was rumoured to be dating 90210 star McCord, 22, and there were reports that they split in October.

However speaking on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM show, Lutz said: “Oh. No. Never have been. I’ve known her for six years, and we met again on the set [of 90210], but we shot Abercrombie [catalogs] way back in the day.”

He added that ’she’s single, and I’m very much single’.

Talking about his love life, he said: “I don’t really think about who I want to date. I kind of fall into situations, and then I’m like: ‘Oh, I’m dating you now’.”

Vampire flick New Moon has become the biggest advance ticket-seller in Hollywood history, according to a movie ticket agency spokesperson.

The new flick, which is the latest chapter in the Twilight saga, has beaten the 2005 movie Star Wars: Episode III Revenge Of The Sith, according to online ticket agency Fandango.

It is claimed that New Moon, which stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has had 86 per cent of the ticket sales this weekend.

Thousands of tickets for the Thursday night midnight shows have already sold out across the US, and some cinemas are putting on extra screenings to cater for demand.

Fandango’s chief operating officer Rick Butler said: “For many fans, it’s clearly the year’s most anticipated film event. Ever since tickets went on sale on 31 August, it’s been among our top five weekly ticket-sellers, as New Moon has a strong pull on audiences.”

He added: “We’re seeing a higher-than-than-usual number of tickets per transaction for this film, suggesting that moviegoers will show up en masse at theatres this weekend with their friends and family.”

The first movie in the saga, Twilight, sold over $383.6m in ticket sales worldwide and producers are hoping New Moon will exceed this.
