Dakota Fanning has been spotted with Andy Garcia’s daughters watching Avatar at ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood.
Earlier in the day, the 15-year-old New Moon actress worked out with one of the Garcia daughters, Alessandra Garcia-Lorido.
Dakota has been rumoured to play the lead role in Betsy and the Emperor. Based on a book by Stanton Robin, the movie tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte and his friendship with a 14-year-old girl after his exile to the island of St. Helena.
Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan has introduced a new man to the family.
According to reports, Lindsay has been getting close with Gucci model Adam Senn, and decided to show him off to the family over the holidays.
And the family are really pleased with Lindsay’s choice. “Dina really likes him,” a source said. “She thinks he is ‘good for her’.”
The source continues: “Everything that’s gone on between Lindsay and her dad has really taken a toll on her.
“Adam is the one really positive thing going on in her life.
“Adam is a good guy and Lindsay is definitely starting to turn to him when things get bad,” adds the source.
Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz is getting ready to bring sexy back this New Year as she celebrates with hubby Noah and six-month-old daughter Paloma.
“I like a little bit of bling, I like fitted, I love going backless a lot,” the actress, 38, says. “I think a woman’s back always looks good. For me, anyway, I always think that’s an attractive part of a woman – shoulders and back. It’s an easy way to be sexy, but not overt.”
One thing she can’t get enough of is sequins.
“I love the sequin look,” she said. “There’s this Phillip Lim navy sequinned dress that is torturing me at the very, very moment. He has this gorgeous navy blue sequinned dress that I was this [pinches fingers] close to buying. I would love to wear it, but it’s one of those things where once you’ve worn it, do you get to keep it? Is it something you can do again and again? I don’t know yet. I’m debating. These are the things that go on in my head. Deep, deep thoughts.”
Dressing down a spangly piece is difficult, but doable, she says.
“I say minimalist jewellery, tone down the make-up… it depends on the color of the sequins. I might do it with a simple red lipstick, hair down and then really everything, just keep it simple, simple, simple. Also, what’s nice with a sequin is a tuxedo jacket, like the boyfriend jacket, to tone it down and pull it together, I think.”
Reality star Kim Kardashian is accused of masterminding a plot to crumble a cookie empire using Twitter, according to reports.
The man behind Dr Siegel’s Cookie Diet weight-loss programme has filed a lawsuit against Kim, claiming the reality star defamed him on Twitter, where she calls the Cookie Diet “unhealthy”.
In the suit, out of Miami-Dade County, the Doc claims Kim had “commercial motive” for the attack because she’s a spokesperson for a rival weight-loss program, QuickTrim.
But Kim and Dr Siegel have a bitter history – Kim recently sent a ‘cease and desist’ letter to him, accusing him of falsely claiming that Kim was endorsing the Cookie Diet.
Dr Siegel is suing for unspecified damages and the case continues.
Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel has refused to deny recent reports that they have been spending time together.
The New York-based club hostess was the first woman to be linked with the shamed golfer, although she has denied having an affair with him.
Uchitel has reportedly been seen partying in Florida during the last week – with reports that she was seen out with Woods twice in two days.
However, speaking for the first time about the alleged outings, she refused to deny the latest stories.
She told a news channel: “I’ve absolutely no comment.”
Later, as she left a relative’s home in Palm Beach, she added: “I’m not going to have any comment and I have to live my life.”
Asked whether she was still in touch with Woods, she said: “I can’t comment.”

A DVD horror film image that shows a deathly Brittany Murphy climbing out of a bathtub will be removed from kiosk screens by the distributor.
Redbox will take off the DVD cover art for the thriller flick Deadline following the young actress’s tragic death at 32. She collapsed in a bathroom before being pronounced dead of a heart attack.
“Redbox feels removing the Deadline box art is the appropriate course of action following the star’s recent death. We will continue to carry her film, but will remove the film’s box art from our displays,” the company said in a statement.
Deadline tells the story of a 32-year-old writer who suffers a psychological breakdown and was made in 2009. The cover image that has a ghostly looking Murphy will be off the kiosk screens and Redbox website in a day’s time and removed from displays by 2010.
Murphy was set to be buried on Christmas Eve, according to the latest reports.

New Moon star Dakota Fanning has recalled her memories of starring in movie Uptown Girls with late actress Brittany Murphy.
Murphy was recently found dead at her home in LA. She starred in the 2003 movie with 15-year-old Fanning.
Recalling her memories of the late actress, Fanning said: “I got to know Brittany when we made the film Uptown Girls. We became great friends despite the fact we were many years apart in age.
“Brittany had such a warm child-like spirit that drew people to her. With her goes a piece of my heart and I will miss her terribly.
“I know how strong Brittany’s love was for her family and my heart goes out to all of them, especially her mother Sharon. I love you Brittany.”
American footballer Tom Brady has said he is still ‘getting used to’ being a dad again after wife Gisele Bundchen recently gave birth to a baby boy.
The 32-year-old already has a two-year-old son Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan while Bundchen, 29, gave birth to his second son on December 8 and the couple are yet to name the little boy.
Asked in a press conference how their first week has been, Brady said: “It’s good. It’s good. I’m glad it’s over!
“I’m trying to get back to my normal sleep schedule, which I’m sure, for all of us parents, is a little tough early.”
The couple have had help from Bundchen’s sister Patricia and mother Vania and he said he is still ‘getting used to’ the late nights and feeding routines.
Nativity actress Ashley Jensen has revealed that the responsibility of becoming a new mother has made her doubt herself at times.
The 40-year-old former Ugly Betty and Extras star, who is married to actor Terence Beesley, gave birth to son Francis, in October, and she said that she sometimes feels overwhelmed by motherhood.
She said: “Sometimes, I think, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’. I’m so aware of the fact that everything I do is going to affect him.
“At the moment, I have a chesty cold and I’m worried he’ll catch it. But he probably has a strong immune system thanks to our dog, Barney. Whenever Frankie cries, Barney runs over and licks him on the head!”
She added: “Also, I now understand parents who have messy houses. It’s always been just me, Terry, and the dog, so the house was pretty neat.
“Now it’s chaos, with baby-grows and bits of half-eaten dinner everywhere. But they say it gets easier.”
Ashton Kutcher has paid tribute to his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Murphy who has died at the age of 32.
The Punk’d star – who began dating Murphy in 2002 after they met on the set of romantic comedy Just Married – took to his Twitter page after hearing the news of her death.
He wrote: “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine.
“My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon.”
He added three minutes later: “See you on the other side, kid.”
The pair split in April 2003 after seven months together.
The 8 Mile actress is said to have gone into full cardiac arrest and was unable to be revived.
Celebrity news website TMZ.com reports that an emergency 911 call was made at 8am Sunday from a home in Los Angeles, which is listed as belonging to her British-born husband, Simon Monjack.
Murphy was taken to the city’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival, sources said.
Tiger Woods changed his mobile phone number and froze out his celebrity friends immediately after his world-headline-making car crash two weeks ago.
NBA’s Charles Barkley said Woods changed the phone number the day after the November 27 accident that saw him lying on the ground with his wife, Elin Nordegren, hovering over him after he crashed their Escalade SUV.
On a television show that airs on Sunday, Barkley and filmmaker Spike Lee express their concern that Woods is shutting out the very people that could help him most.
Barkley said: “You should reach out to your celebrity friends when things go bad. They’re the only people who understand what it’s like.”
Lee said during the show’s taping: “He’s insulated. If Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan can’t get to him, and those are his boys, then other people are making bad moves.”
Barkley said he has been trying to get in touch with the pro-golfer. “I’ve been trying to get to him and can’t get to him. It’s very frustrating.”
He said he just wants to tell him: “Hey, man, we love you. If you need anything, pick up the phone.”
Tobey Maguire has denied reports that he is to appear in upcoming movie The Hobbit.
While at the premiere of Rob Marshall’s new flick Nine, Maguire said that he has never met the movie’s director and doesn’t know where the reports came from.
Maguire, 34, said to MTV: “I don’t believe I’ve ever met [Hobbit director] Guillermo del Toro. So… that is some kind of false rumor.”
He recently said to The Hollywood Reporter: “I love Guillermo del Toro and [Hobbit producer] Peter Jackson, and I certainly wouldn’t take myself out of the conversation… if I was part of it.
“But I haven’t read a script or talked to anybody about it.”

Elin was seen out in Florida without her wedding ring and stopped off at a Thai restaurant for lunch with daughter Sam, two, and son Charlie, 10 months.
Woods recently apologised on his blog for the hurt that his ‘infidelity’ has caused to his family and announced he will take an ‘indefinite break’ from professional golf.
