Despite rumors that have been flying, it seems Amy Winehouse does NOT have tuberculosis. What she does have, though, is emphysema.

Emphysema is a disease of the lungs that is caused by excessive exposure to toxic chemicals. Umm, such as crack, perhaps? Her father is even speaking out, saying that Amy is going to die if she keeps up what she’s doing.

It’s sad, really, that she could actually hit number one music status and still be such a loser. She should focus on her, perhaps, umm, talents.

Amy Winehouse has got a lot of explaining to do to her husband if he gets wind of this. The singer was seen leaving her London home on Friday with what looked like a hickey on her neck. With her husband still in jail, we’re sure it wasn’t from him. That’s not the only mess she got herself into though. Wino performed at the ‘Rock in Rio’ event in Portugal on Friday night and she was a total mess. She even said so herself. It’s a good thing they canceled the US summer tour she had planned. It’s enough that she makes a mess of herself in the UK.

Amy Winehouse went shopping at 4am this morning, just hours after being arrested on drugs charges. The singer chatted to photographers as she left her North London home, asking for suggestions for a new tattoo.

Wearing a bandana with her husband’s name written on it, she headed for a nearby petrol station to pick up drinks and magazines and seemed unconcerned about events from earlier in the day.

Amy was arrested yesterday following an appointment at an East London police station over drugs offenses. The charges relate to video footage of the singer allegedly taking crack cocaine in January this year.

Amy, who reportedly sobbed uncontrollably as she was questioned for almost 10 hours, left the police station at 10.30pm last night. She was released on bail to reappear later this month.

Amy’s spokesperson said: “Amy voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year.”

A Scotland Yard spokesperson added: “Around 1pm yesterday a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on January 22.”

In the video footage reportedly taken at the star’s East London home, the singer also appeared to snort “highly concentrated” powdered ecstasy and cocaine and swallow six Valium pills. Amy’s arrest follows a caution last month for an alleged assault in a pub near her home.

Amy Wienhouse is expected to appear in a Norwegian courtroom this week. The singer has to show up in court in Bergen on Friday to contest her drug arrest. Wino was arrested in Norway last year on marijuana charges which is the alleged reason why she was initially denied entry to the US.

On the bright side of things, Amy is still doing well. Her CD ‘Back to Black’ has benefited from a huge sales increase following this past week’s Brit Awards. It’s actually expected to sail back to the top spot of the charts! Congratulations Amy! Don’t let anything bring you down.

No it’s not another pun leading into a horrific story relating to Amy Winehouse and crack cocaine…for once. It is actually good news. It’s not often I get to put the two things in the same sentence but yes, I can actually report something good about Amy Winehouse…probably for the first time in months.

It seems that the troubled singer is slowly beginning to win her battle with drugs. The Back to Black star has spent four days in rehab, where she is ‘delighting’ doctors with her progress; especially as she hasn’t even tried to do a runner. For the first time it actually looks like Amy is making an effort to sort herself out.

A relieved close family friend said last night: “Although Amy is still taking each day at a time she has done the hardest thing in the world by going into rehab. She has been ill and is withdrawing but at least she is sticking with it as she detoxes. With her family’s support we are hopeful that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel as she weans herself off drugs. She will stay in rehab for as long as it takes even if it is three or four weeks. Nobody is saying it will be easy, but things are looking good at the moment and doctors are encouraged.”

Amy Winehouse is no longer sporting her famous jet black beehive. Instead, she’s opted for a bleached blonde look. Umm, pretty?

After Amy Winehouse’s return to London yesterday we were all prepared for the end of the peace and quiet experienced over the festive period while she was in the Caribbean.

And it looks like the singer has wasted no time in picking up where she left off. Following her bizarre change of clothes at the airport, which involved her stripping down to her bra in Heathrow, Amy then headed straight off to a party to celebrate the birthday of pal Tyler James.

However the holiday could have changed her even just a little bit. She was incredibly spotted eating at the party, which almost never happens. And according to producer pal Mark Ronson; Amy wants to begin recording her new album as soon as possible.

He said: “We have been talking about it and I know she really wants to start recording. She’s got so many songs in her.”

After Blake’s downfall last week where he proved positive in a Class A drug test, wife Amy Winehouse has been banned from any visits involving physical contact. The only way the troubled singer can visit her hubby is from behind a glass screen.

Amy, 24, is known to hide drugs in her bird’s-nest hairdo when on stage. She has not visited Fielder-Civil since he failed the random drugs test. A pal said: “She’s paranoid and shaking every time she goes there and has decided to give it a miss for a while.”

Between being suspected of bribery to free hubby, and threatened with kidnap by hubby’s enemies, and now maybe even being thought to smuggle in drugs to hubby; Amy is not having the best of years. Maybe the New Year will improve things…

What a surprise I’m writing about Amy Winehouse again. What could it be this time? Well you wouldn’t guess if you tried…the latest in the Amy drama seems to be a kidnap threat.

We all suspected her hubby wasn’t the best news for her, and we may have been proved right. Not only did Blake fail a recent drug test in prison, meaning he is back to junkie status, but he is in trouble with some gangland mobsters who are threatening to kidnap his wife.

As if Amy and Blake haven’t enough troubles. The mobsters are reportedly squeezing him for a massive £100,000 and if he doesn’t pay up she will be kidnapped.

And with her wandering the streets at the dead of night it won’t be hard….

Amy Winehouse was said to have made a suicide pact with hubby Blake after being implicated in the bribery plot to set him loose. But her father says that’s a load of rubbish, saying she is on the road to recovery and would never consider doing such a thing.

Does he read the papers and see the photos? There have been so many ‘White Christmas’ puns linked to photographs of Amy obviously out of it recently are we really supposed to believe she is on the mend?

There is a quote from Scotland Yard that states, “We have no evidence against Amy being involved in any crime. If we had she would have been arrested straight away. But we do want to talk to her about matters, particularly financial ones, which may be important in this case”

Ok, so she might not be put away for life but she still needs to get herself sorted out. After being seen drinking with pals at 6am yesterday, where she seemed emotional and pale, she then flew into a rage at a fan who tried to approach her as she left the bar. This is not how you are supposed to behave.

In this day of cell phones, you’d think Amy’s mom could’ve just called her up. But no….Mommy Janis felt the need to publish an open letter in Britain’s News of the World. While I might not approve of her tactics, her thoughts were good.

She says to Amy, “Early fame has overwhelmed you. It’s dizzied you and muddled your mind. For a moment, forget you’re a superstar. You’re also young and vulnerable. Remember you’re just an ordinary human being, no stronger than any of the rest of us. You think you’re strong enough to get through this on your own, darling, but you’re not.”

Mommy goes on to talk about Amy’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is still in prison. She says that, while she may not approve of Blake, she realizes that Amy chose him and she will not say negative things about him that would hurt Amy.

She ends with, “You know I’m an optimist and that I think, with our help, you will get back on top of things.”

Amy Winehouse’s husband is a bigger mess than she is. Hard to believe but very true. Yesterday police raided Amy Winehouse’s house which led to the arrest of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. What did he do? Something really bad!!! He was arrested over an alleged trial fixing plot. Blake was supposed to stand trial next week over a fight with a bartender and he has been accused of trying to pay off a key witness to stay away from the case and not to give any evidence. Ha ha ha, so much for trying to act too smart, he thought he was never going to get caught coz the London police is always busy trying to guard the Queen’s palace. But they are as vigilant as any other police force in the world and they have nabbed him and will most probably also nail him for good. Now I would really like to see him behind the bars, coz first gets into a fight and then he is trying to bribe the bartender to make a false statement, well simply these guys have no regrets for their action and think money can buy everything, he should get punished.

Amy Winehouse won’t be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards, or anywhere else in the United States anytime soon.

The British retro-soul singer was to perform at the Sept. 9 event in Las Vegas, but her U.S. record label, Universal Republic Records, said Wednesday that all U.S. appearances have been canceled “in a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse’s well-being.”

It is the latest setback for the gifted but troubled 23-year-old. Last week, she was photographed with her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, bloodied and bruised after an apparent fight in a London hotel.

The gossip Web site perezhilton.com has said it received text messages from Winehouse denying Fielder-Civil was responsible for her injuries, saying she cut herself after he found her about to do drugs.

She canceled a series of British concerts and postponed a tour of the U.S. and Canada after British media reported that she was in and out of rehab recently.

Winehouse made her U.S. debut this year with the acclaimed album “Back to Black,” but her tabloid troubles have often overshadowed her talent. She’s spoken openly about her past battles with drugs and her penchant for alcohol and marijuana. Her hit single “Rehab” is an autobiographical tale of her resistance to being pushed to go to rehab.

For the second weekend in a row, the Wino cancelled a show at a summer concert festival.
Amy was supposed to perform on Sunday at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland and pulled out at the last minute, several frustrated Dutch PerezHilton.com readers tell us.
Don’t be frustrated. Just have realistic expectations. If you’re going to see Amy Winehouse in concert, expect her not to show up.
Yet, despite the dramz, Wino’s album Back To Black continues to do amazingly well. The record just went platinum in the U.S. and is still in the Top 10. Not too shabby!
