Tattoed rocker Pete Wentz and his all-American girlfriend Ashlee Simpson have confirmed they are to wed.

Finally.

The Fall Out Boy bassist popped the question on holiday in Colorado – where they were visiting his brother’s art exhibition – to his girlfriend of two years.

A friend of the couple said: “He got down on one knee and she said yes. She has an amazing ring, and they are so in love.”

In a statement, Ashlee said: “We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes – it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”

Ashlee Simpson continues to pimp herself out by partnering up with teeny bopper mall store Wet Seal. The store will launch a new collection of tops designed by the singer in conjunction with her third studio effort ‘Bittersweet World’ and a major in-store and online nationwide promotion on April 22. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Wet Seal will also be selling her CD in-store. When talking about the partnership, Ashlee says “I was inspired by so many fun, wonderful things as I was recording Bittersweet World and it’s been great to carry through those inspirations into these new shirt designs. I hope my fans love this album and rock out in these shirts!”

Ashlee Simpson dropped by Fuse this past week to promote her new album on ‘The Sauce’ and the so-called singer was sporting some interesting new hardware on her engagement finger. When she was asked by the show’s host about the diamond ring on her left hand, she immediately joked that she wasn’t pregnant but that it was a promise ring from her Fall Out Boy bassist boyfriend Pete Wentz. Ashlee clarified that “It just means that he hasn’t asked my dad yet.” Is that a smart thing to say when your father/manager happens to be in the studio with you?

Music couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz paid a visit to the emergency room. But no, neither one of them is hurt or sick. The couple actually took Pete’s pet bulldog Hemingway to the Emergency Pet Clinic on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. Thank goodness that Hemingway only had an ear infection. He’s too loveable to die so soon. Hemingway will live to write another novel!

Ashlee Simpson is the new issue’s cover girl – or at least I think that’s Ashlee Simpson. I could hardly tell anymore. She didn’t do a cover shoot or an interview though. Her publicist said that Ashlee did not pose or give them an interview. “They apparently purchased outtakes from an old photo shoot years ago and elected on their own to retouch the photo as they wanted to. This supposed ‘magazine’ has never reached out to us and we did not cooperate with them in any way at all.”

Although Joe was the one to set the pair up in November; the news that they were spotted “rolling around on top of each other” in a nightclub on Saturday make not make Daddy best pleased.

Ashley does an Ashlee! People is reporting that High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale made like SNL screw up Ashlee Simpson by getting a nose job on Friday in Los Angeles. The bandaged actress/singer even gave a little interview about her rhinoplasty procedure.She says that the nose job, the same procedure that Ashlee had, was done to correct her breathing and not for cosmetic reasons. It seems that Ashley had a deviated septum and two small fractures on her nose which prompted her to get the job done.

She also said that the 5-hour procedure scared her and that after she got her nose job, she hopes to never have to go through something like it again.

Ok girls, if you heard that Pete Wentz was the modern day hero for sticking up for his girlfriend, I am afraid he denies all knowledge. It was rumoured the Fallout Boy bassist had filed claims against Canadian band Neurosonic, to prevent them from releasing a song which basically takes the mickey out of his missus, Ashlee Simpson.

Neurosonic wrote the song, So Many People, in response to Simpson’s disastrous TV performance on Saturday Night Live in 2004 which caught her lip-synching

But Wentz claims that the reports of a cease a desist notice sent to the rockers are untrue. He insists he doesn’t know anything about the band or their song; “If your songs are good then sleep easy and have fun playing them – just don’t attach me to them.”

Good song or not Pete, that’s your girlfriend they are mocking. Grow a backbone man!

If you tell me that Ashlee Simpson is born to lead, I’d laugh in your face. But the singer did walk the gray carpet at the 2007 CosmoGIRL Born to Lead Awards at NYC’s Hearst Tower on Tuesday so I have to laugh at a lot of people now.

This year’s honorees included the singer/actree, Eva Amurri, Fall Out Boy, Jordin Sparks and the Jonas Brothers. They were all chosen for making their personal dreams come true or making a positive change in their communities. Ashlee made her dreams come true? I wasn’t even sure that she still has a job. And I highly doubt it’s for the other reason.

I think Botox is nuts at any age. If you’re in your 20’s and 30’s there’s no way you should need to use it. Yet older women who use it look like they’re wearing a wax mask. I think plastic surgery is ok if you really need to correct something, but people are using it to create perfection, which doesn’t exist. I think A. Simpson’s nose job is a good one and it does make her look better. But hopefully she’ll stop there. I actually do support cosmetic surgery, but I don’t favor people who deny when they’ve had work done. I wouldn’t doubt if Ashlee’s amazingly frozen face is because of Botox. I’ve even sat and compared pictures of her when she was younger to how she looks now that she’s older. It doesn’t add up to tweezing. In my eyes, ever since she went and did what she said she’d never do, she’s hard to believe. Doesn’t Michael Jackson claim to have only had 2 surgeries??

Blink and you might lose it. Don’t try to adjust your monitors either because that really is Hilary Duff and not Ashlee Simpson. Hilary was spotted looking like an Ashlee clone as she ran some errands around LA on Thursday.She was seen coming out of a local CVS drugstore with several bags of necessities and a power bag to match her itsy bitsy wrap top and killer boots. Too bad Ashlee already made that style look bad on her and everyone else.

For those wanting to know, Hilary’s European tour will be delayed to make way for her filming schedule which included two movies to be filmed back to back.

Pete Wentz is on tour with his band Fall Out Boy. And with that, his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson has turned into a jet setter just to be with her lover boy.

They celebrated the Fourth of July together and the celebration even lasted throughout the weekend. Pete served as the DJ for the party and went as far as dedicating Justin Timberlake’s ‘Summer Love’ to Ashlee.

When the duo arrived in LA earlier in the week, they were holding hands, kissing and looking completely in love. They may be one of the many odd couples in Hollywood but it looks like they’re going strong.

Under the scorching sun of summer, the color you need to stay away from would be black. But Ashlee Simpson proves to be the exception. The younger and hotter of the two Simpson sisters was spotted out and about in Los Angeles wearing all black on Saturday.

It’s not seen in the picture, but she’s carrying around a large black bag, wearing knee-high black socks to match her black skirt and black Chuck Taylor’s sneakers. Is she in mourning or something? Or maybe Pete Wentz is into ‘emo’ stuff like that. Most likely, he is. I think she smells too. It could be some kinky stuff they’re into.
