Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck and Ashley Tisdale are the latest celebs to sign on for the Haiti Telethon.
Actor George Clooney, 48, has put the telethon together to raise funds for the relief effort in the Caribbean island of Haiti, which was recently hit by an earthquake killing tens of thousands of people.
DiCaprio, Affleck and Tisdale are the latest to sign up for the telethon, along with Ellen DeGeneres, Jason Bateman and Tobey Maguire.
Country singer Taylor Swift, 19, will be performing in LA during the telethon as well as answering calls for the phone bank.
Ashley Tisdale was nice enough to lend her time and talent to an upcoming episode of ‘Extreme Home Makeover’. The singer/actress and her carpenter dad helped out building a house for a deserving family in Green County, Missouri. Ashley even performed a concert after the home had been built for the entire neighborhood. Well, she might as well push her CD while she was at it. There’s no harm in a little shameless promotion. She did a good thing though and that’s always a nice thing to come by when it comes to being a celebrity. By the way, her CD comes out on October 4th.
High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has said she likes to have her best girlfriends around her.
The 24-year-old told US OK magazine: “I think it’s always important to have girlfriends because guys tend to come and go. It’s always great to have those girlfriends for support, ieneiand who have your best intentions and who you can trust.”
The star is good friends with singer Miley Cyrus and fellow actress Vanessa Hudgens.
Tisdale added about Cyrus: “She’s a real sweetheart. She’s a big sweetheart, actually.
“She’s someone who has really stayed true to herself, and she hasn’t changed for how successful and huge she is. She’s really grounded and so is her family. They’re very supportive people. She’s somebody who’s always there to listen, and she’s a great person.”

I hope this isn’t going to be some sort of bad omen for Ashley Tisdale as the ‘High School Musical’ star’s album has been pushed back. The actress/singer’s album ‘Guilty Pleasure’ was scheduled to be released in the US on June 16th. However, according to Ashley’s website, the album will now be available over a month later on July 28th. Ashley will now be spending June in Europe to promote the album before jetting back to the other side of the pond for a round of appearances in July. I know it’s bad to think it but this isn’t a very good sign.

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has split with boyfriend Jared Murillo, according to US reports.
“They have not been dating for a while now,” a source close to the couple said. “They just grew apart, but are remaining friends.”
Tisdale, 23, began dating back-up dancer Murillo, 20, in March 2007 and the pair were snapped buying promise rings at Na Hoku jewellers in Los Angeles.
Tisdale has also revealed who her ideal man would be. She said: “Someone you can be comfortable with. I always have to be dressed up all the time for my work, so when I’m home I just like to be in sweats and comfortable. Someone you can laugh with, someone you can have fun with. I love to laugh and laugh at myself.”

Ashley Tisdale has just released her brand new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The track premiered earlier this morning live with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.
“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”
An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend. The clip was directed by Scott Speer, who has helmed previous videos for Tisdale as well as those from Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta.

Ashley Tisdale made an OMG moment for a couple of her biggest fans at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles last week as the winners of Degree Girl’s Ultimate OMG Contest enjoyed a private performance from the High School Musical actress. The 22-year old blonde personally chose the seven lucky winners based on the OMG moments they shared on DegreeGirl.com. I’m not really sure how much of an OMG moment Ashley would have created though. If I were a teen and would have wanted an OMG moment, I would have picked Zac Efron to have been there rather than Ashley. Considering I think Zac is gay, that says something.

Ashley Tisdale has already cancelled her performances on two shows since she had surgery on her nose. Now, the 22-year old ‘High School Musical’ star has made a public apology to her fans and friends in Miami and Philadelphia where she backed out of her Jingle Ball performances.
“I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven’t fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances. When my surgery was scheduled, we didn’t think it would be necessary to cancel the shows because my doctor thought I would heal in time. Unfortunately, the deviated septum was more significant than we originally thought so the healing process is taking longer.”
Ashley does an Ashlee! People is reporting that High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale made like SNL screw up Ashlee Simpson by getting a nose job on Friday in Los Angeles. The bandaged actress/singer even gave a little interview about her rhinoplasty procedure.She says that the nose job, the same procedure that Ashlee had, was done to correct her breathing and not for cosmetic reasons. It seems that Ashley had a deviated septum and two small fractures on her nose which prompted her to get the job done.
She also said that the 5-hour procedure scared her and that after she got her nose job, she hopes to never have to go through something like it again.
It’s an incredibly rare occasion to see a High School Musical star going solo for a public appearance. But Ashley Tisdale showed just how much she can do on her own when she scored a spot on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Wednesday.
The actress/singer was on board the ‘Expedition to the Top of Rhino Mountain’ float where she performed her own rendition of the Wham classic ‘Last Christmas’.

Actresses and singers Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale took to the stage at two points of the awards show. One time was to present an award and another was to accept an award. The cast took home an award for Favority Soundtrack Album. They were later joined by fellow stars `Ryne Sanborn, Kaycee Stroh and Monique Coleman to pose with the award.
