The Canadian wannabe rock star recently spoke of the scent saying “I wanted to make sure it was really me — me in a bottle. The inspiration [for the mirrored squares on the carton] came from my love of studded belts and studded bracelets.” The fragrance features notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate. Avril said “I find it young and fresh and edgy.” If you want to smell like Avril, a bottle of her new ‘Black Star’ fragrance can be yours for a mere $22.
Avril Lavigne was recently spotted looking like she rolled around in the clearance section of a Hot Topic and then finding a wig looking like Amy Winehouse’s signature beehive in a dumpster, decided to dye it blonde and wear it out. The Canadian wannabe rock star was snapped taking a break from a photo shoot at the Viper Room in Hollywood last Monday. Why they hired a 14-year old emo stylist for the shoot is beyond me. It’s nice of them to give young people a chance though. And kudos to them for making Avril look stupider than she already is.
She may look pregnant but do not be fooled by Avril Lavigne’s physical appearance. She’s acutally just fat. The weight gain is most likely because she’s finished her disaster of a tour and not doing much of anything. You know, there’s nothing wrong with going on a jog for even just thirty minutes a day. Also, unlike Mariah Carey who is also dealing with pregnancy rumors, the Canadian wannabe rocker was seen partying it up at Tao in Las Vegas this past weekend and it was pretty obvious to witnesses that she was drinking. Thank heavens! Avril as a mom sounds like the most dreadful idea to me.
Avril Lavigne was spotted enjoying a night out with friends at the trendy Villa lounge in West Hollywood on Saturday. In a surprise (for me at least), the 23-year old singer was recently honored at the AG Hair Cosmetics’ 8th Annual Best Canadian Hair Awards for her pink tresses. That’s probably the only thing that remains loveable when it comes to the singer. If you ask me, I think it’s cheesy and so last century. She won the award for best hair do among Canadian musicians. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Sandra Oh’s hair won for the sexiest hair on a Canadian actress.
I find it really funny that after writing about how amazingly well Kanye West’s tour is going, that I have to write about how badly Avril Lavigne’s tour is going. The Canadian singer’s current tour continues to get trashed by fans and critics alike. A reviewer for the Washington Post was the most recent to come out with thoughts on Avril’s concert saying “Who says Canadians are all sweetness and light? Much of Avril Lavigne’s appeal, and there’s a ton to go around, comes from how loathsome she is.” I can now say this – if you have any anger in you that you want to let out, go to an Avril concert. It’s sure to get your frustrations out and you also have someone to pit it on.
How does Hilary Duff handle conflict? By being one very polite lady. The pop star/actress/business entrepreneur recently spoke with Allure and one of the topics she was asked to comment on was on Avril Lavigne calling her a mommy’s girl. Hil said “I said something about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody.” I bet what she really wanted to say that Avril is just jealous of the love and support Hil gets from her fans and that it’s too bad that Avril’s playing to empty arenas.
Not that a lot of people would actually care but I’d still like to say that Avril Lavigne’s music video for the song ‘The Best Damn Thing’ has finally arrived. The song is the fourth single off of the album of the same name and is due for release on April 17, Thursday. The video is nothing revolutionary or noteworthy – it’s just plain fun. In Canada, it’s currently the most viewed, discussed, favorite-d and top rated music video of the day. Maybe it’s because of the pink wig. They thought it was a Britney Spears music video instead of an Avril video.
Tickets to her tour aren’t the only thing that Avril Lavigne can’t sell. The Canadian poser is also having some trouble getting rid of her pricey Mulholland Estates mansion. Avril’s home has been on the market for a while. The 6,894-square meter property was initially listed for $7 million. There were 3 potential buyers but then they pulled out before the deal was done. Now, the asking price for the mansion has been slashed down to $5.8 million. Avril and her Sum 41 hubby Deryck Whibley are trying to get rid of that house because they’re reportedly paying a hefty mortgage on a Bel Air home they bought last year.
Avril Lavigne and her hubby rocker Deryck Whibley were spotted as they shopped up a storm on Robertson Boulevard earlier this week and it’s being rumored that it could be for a little Avril or a little Deryck. The couple reportedly dropped around $500 at Lisa Kline Kids when they purchased everything from a cheetah diaper bag to baby AC/DC tees and a camo pacifier holder. It looks as if they’re preparing for life to get more complicated. Avril also made her way over to Kitson Kids to pick up a few more odds and ends. Someone at the scene even said that it looks like Avril has a bit of a bump going on.
Avril Lavigne showed up at Hyde on Monday with an interesting partying party at her side – Britney Spears’ former assistant and so-called cousin Alli Sims. Alli’s become quite the starf****r lately. She was recently spotted at Paris Hilton’s birthday party on Saturday night and now she’s with Avril. What? Can she not ride the coattails of just one annoying star? It’s not like she has a career ahead of her if she sticks with those folks. Heck, I doubt she’d get a career period. Somebody needs to give Alli a big reality check and tell her to just get over it.
