Slumdog Millionaire actress Rubina Ali might only be nine years old, but she is ready to tell her life story.

Having played the young Latika in director Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning movie, Ali has met Hollywood stars such as Nicole Kidman.

But she has also been involved in a series of controversies in Mumbai since the film rocketed her and its other youngsters into fame.

Now on July 16, her book, Slumdog Dreaming, will simultaneously released in both the US and the UK.

Publishing company Transworld, said that, besides recounting Oscar night, Ali will “tell her story of playing marbles with her friends beside the sewers of Garib Nagar in Mumbai, to dancing along to the Bollywood films she and her family watch on their old television set.

“Rubina brings alive a world of wastelands and rat-infested shanty dwellings, and shows us her home, a wooden shack with a tarpaulin roof, where she grew up with her beloved father and siblings.”

The Jonas Brothers and the Bonus Jonas, their youngest brother Frankie, are set to star in a movie about a farting dog named Walter. The movie is an adaptation of the popular kids’ books by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray and revolve around the adventures of Walter the Farting Dog. The guys play a group of musicians whose parents come into the care of Walter, passed unto them from their aunt who passed away. Frankie plays the kid brother with sinuses so bad that he’s unaffected by the farting mutt. Together, Frankie and Walter go on adventures that include freeing some koi fish and catching jewel thieves. I smell a stinker of a movie.

The copyrights should definitely be protected. What do you say?

And the new authors should try to generate some new ideas instead of living on other people’s bread.

JK Rowling, who is the author of world famous Harry Potter series, has won a copyrights suit against a Harry Potter fan, Steven Vander Ark, who planned to publish a Harry Potter Encyclopedia.

Steven Vander Ark planned to publish a Harry Potter Lexicon. The fan also owns the famous Harry Potter Lexicon website on the internet, which is one of the most famous websites on the fictional character.

During the hearings of the case earlier, JK Rowling said, “I didn’t fly here because I was worried about losing sales. I’m here because I passionately believe this is about authors’ rights to protect their creation.” She further added, “If this book is published, I believe the floodgates will open. Are we the owners of our own work?”

Kindly find new ways to make a living so that the readers should also get some new stuff.

It’s official. Miley Cyrus has just signed a seven-figure deal with Disney Book Group to write a book about her early life in Tennessee, her move to LA and her relationship with her parents. The 15-year old says that “I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me. I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.” Does that include having to be a slut at such an early age? Anyway, the Miley biography will hit stores in the spring of 2009 – right around the time for when the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie will also be released.

From the beginning of her popularity, J.K. Rowling has admitted that her life pretty much hit rock bottom before her rise to fame with her Harry Potter series. She has now opened up even more to British media about those times.

Rowling says that she actually considered killing herself back in the early 1990s, after her separation from then husband Jorge Arantes. She says, “We’re talking suicidal thoughts here, we’re not talking ‘I’m a little bit miserable,’”

She says her daughter helped her through it. “The thing that made me go for help was probably my daughter”, she says. Her daughter Jessica was then an infant.

The Borders bookstore is the second largest national chain in the U.S. They just announced this morning that the first day of sales for the latest Harry Potter book has broken book sale records on a global scale. 1.2 million copies of the book were sold worldwide in just the first day on store shelves. It was the highest in sales for one day in Borders history. The last book in the series sold 850,000 copies in its first day of sales. Fans remain in line ups all over the world to get their hands on a copy of the book. It doesn’t look like it will be dying down any time soon, not until every last fan has been satisfied. They better get their fill while they can, it won’t last long. This is the final book in the Harry Potter series. It has already evoked large expressions of emotion from both readers and the author. Bookstores probably won’t see a shortage of customers any time soon.

There was a large turn out of fans for the latest Harry Potter premier in Europe. Swarms of fans camped out over night awaiting a glimpse of their heroine, J.K. Rowling. She spent some time talking to the press who of course asked questions about the final book of the series soon to be published. The whole world seems to be asking if Harry is going to die in the final instalment. The ending is such a big secret that even Rowling’s own family has no idea what will happy to Harry and Co. Rowling said she felt very sad upon ending the beloved series but also very relieved. I must admit that the entire Harry Potter phenomenon was lost on me. I never saw a single film or read a single book and I really do not feel like I’m missing anything. However, millions of people would disagree. There will be a lot more hype over the next year or two until the last book in the series is released but it will surely die out like every other Hollywood madness.

Young and up coming actor Daniel whose already the toast of the world by staring in the Harry Potter Series since it started in 2000 has further enhanced his image as the Magician by signing a $50m deal to star in the final two Harry Potter Films. He will be paid $25 million to shoot penultimate book ‘Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince’, and the same amount for the of JK Rowling’s Potter finale, The Deathly Hallows. The money’s also a nod to the fact that the studio can not do the next Harry Potters without him. So Daniel is getting richer and soon might be the richest under 20 star in the world. Plus, surely that’s not the end of his earnings, He could as well earn millions from endorsements and if he had a deal for a part in the merchandise proceeds for the sale of Harry Potter things then there going to be a lot of wealth that he could accumulate in a short time.
