Brad Pitt came off his motorbike in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Pitt, 45, was not injured in the incident, which gave rise to conflicting reports.

The Los Angeles and Beverly Hills police departments confirmed no reports of an accident had been made.

Sources on one website claimed Pitt was clipped by a paparazzi and forced to rear-end another vehicle. Another report claimed Pitt’s mirror brushed the mirror of an adjacent car and he lost balance.

Pitt left the scene with his security team before the bike was transported. Pitt appeared cool, calm and collected after the incident, reports said.

Pitt is a father of six children with partner Angelina Jolie.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have a sense of humour when it comes to a parody of themselves.

The once Hollywood power couple gave their consent to Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher for use in her comic autobiographical Broadway play Wishful Drinking.

Fisher, the daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, makes a parallel in Wishful Drinking about her parents’ love life and the Pitt-Aniston-Angelina Jolie triangle. Fisher left Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor.

“Anything that had to do with anyone else, I made sure that I went to them and cleared it with them,” said Fisher, who tells the story of her own troubled journey and lifetime with celebrity.

But she sought Pitt’s consent for the artistic licence. She told Pitt: “This is exactly what your situation is like!”

Aniston made no objections, she added, saying: “She’s a very nice girl. I didn’t speak to her, but I heard that she liked it. At least, I hope she liked it.”

Fisher’s 90-minute play, which debuts on October 25, is already drawing the enthusiastic response of critics.

Eight-year-old Maddox is the oldest of Brad, 45, and Angelina’s six children and it is claimed Brad recently took Maddox to the Dave and Buster’s arcade in New York to play some games.

One visitor, who was there at the same time as Brad and Maddox, said to US OK! magazine: “My cousin’s six-year-old daughter was watching Brad’s son play the crane game and he won a little silver watch.

“She had no idea who Maddox or Brad Pitt are. But Maddox saw her watching and he came over and gave her the watch. She was just grinning like you wouldn’t believe. He just made her so happy!”

When the Brangelina clan of six spies one of its parents in the newspaper, it’s a tough call for mum and dad.

"We’re still trying to negotiate how we explain to them what we do," said Brad Pitt of his children Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3 and Knox and Vivienne, 1.

Normally, the kids are not allowed to read any item of print or gossip that features their parents. But slip-ups can’t be avoided. "It’s not strange to them that their parents will come on television. And it’s not strange for them to walk outside and for there to be a photographer. They just think if there is printed material [as he disdainfully refers to the gossip mags] hanging around, their parents might be on the cover."

Pitt told the Times Of London that the couple are excited over the cosmopolitan slice of life they can offer their kids. "Everywhere is interesting in its own way, each place has its own feel and something to offer: you pick up something, the kids are picking up something. They have this world view which we are very proud and happy that we are able to provide."

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has admitted she would like Brad Pitt to play her on-screen dad in the show.

Blake, 21, plays the role of Serena van der Woodsen in the hit US TV series.

In the final episode of season two of the show, Serena was seen heading to Fiji to find her father and it is claimed he will be making an appearance in the third series of the teen show.

Asked who she would like to play her dad, Blake said: “Brad Pitt. Or maybe [he should be cast] as my new boyfriend.”

Actor Connor Paolo, who plays Serena’s brother Eric, added: “We’ve been asking since day one who daddy dearest is, so it’ll be good to find out. I’d say Christopher Walken could make a great dad. I think he’d be a great papa van der Woodsen. I think [his and Lily's] dynamic would be awesome. I’ll push that one. Or maybe Jack Nicholson.”

Angelina Jolie has been admitted to hospital in the south of France in preparation for the birth of her twins.

The Hollywood star is said to be doing well and a spokeswoman for the Lenval Hospital in Nice said it had been planned for some time that the actress would be admitted in advance to the maternity wing.

She would not say when Jolie was admitted but added Angelina will be likely to remain in hospital until the birth. She said the arrival of her babies was not imminent.

The Tomb Raider actress already has three adopted children and a natural child with Pitt. They have all been living in an exclusive wine resort in Provence, France, since the beginning of the summer.

It wasn’t going to be long before little Shiloh Jolie-Pitt followed in mummy and daddy’s footsteps. And now the toddler, their only biological child, is making her big screen debut in Brad’s new film.
