Britain’s Got Talent sensation Shaheen Jafargholi says it was an “honour” to pay tribute to Michael Jackson at the MOBO Awards.

The 12-year-old Welsh schoolboy performed the Jackson 5 hit I’ll Be There at the MOBOs after he was introduced by Michael’s sister LaToya.

The awards were recently held at the SECC arena in Glasgow and were the first UK event to pay tribute to the star since his death in June.

Shaheen told British newspaper the South Wales Evening Post: “It was an unbelievable night and experience, and it was an honour to pay tribute to Michael Jackson and be part of a fantastic event.

“I love music and singing, and being part of an awards evening with so many artists that I admire and respect was amazing.”

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi could be the next Michael Jackson, according to his half-sister.

Ladan Davies, 22, is the 12-year-old Welsh star’s half-sister and she said: “What he’s done is amazing.

“It’s a huge thing to sing at such a massive event and he was unbelievable. I hope this will launch his career internationally – he could even be the next Michael Jackson.”

Jafargholi sung a rendition of Jackson’s track Who’s Lovin’ You at the singer’s memorial in LA recently and now it is claimed he could go on to huge success.

Davies added: “He’s only 12 years old and there aren’t many that age who could do what he did.”

Ugly Betty star Becki Newton thinks it would be “amazing” to have Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle appear in an episode of the show.

Becki, 30, who plays the role of Amanda Tanen in the hit US sitcom, spoke about Susan and said: “I think she’d be amazing.”

She added: “I think Ugly Betty taps into pop culture so that these random characters become perfect for the show somehow.

“It might be a bit strange to have Susan Boyle on Ugly Betty, but they[the writers] have got such a great way of incorporating these people in a way that makes it really funny.

“I don’t know what they would be, but I can imagine they have a lot of ideas.”

Actress Lindsay Lohan made a cameo in the third season of the show and Becki dismissed rumours she was a diva on-set.

She said: “She was lovely. When you watch this season she was great at her part. It was a fun storyline and I think people are gonna really enjoy it.”

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi is “upset” after someone set up a fake Twitter page for him and was contacted by Lily Allen and Ashton Kutcher.

The 12-year-old singer, who is one of the favourites to win the show, is upset after the imposter had conversations with the stars who thought the page belonged to the real Shaheen.

Shaheen’s agent Mark Jermin said: “Shaheen is upset that people are posing as him on Twitter. Shaheen does not have a Twitter page.”

He added: “What is most annoying is he is a huge Lily Allen fan and would love to meet her or maybe even duet with her.”

The imposter received messages from Ashton Kutcher, 31, and wrote on Kutcher’s wife Demi Moore’s page.

Lily, 24, was a little more dubious of who was behind the real page.

She posted a message saying: “Take a picture of yourself holding a copy of today’s newspaper and post it on twitpic. Or don’t bother.”
