After having a lovely time at the Teen Choice Awards last Sunday night, Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter to thank everyone who has given her a new nickname. The singer and actress said “For all the people calling me the “next Britney” THANK U. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment.” Who exactly are these people and could they ever be more wrong? If Miley needed any indication that she is in no way the next Britney, she could just ask the pop star herself. Britney epically snubbed Miley while she was presented an award at the ceremony from the tween.
Britney Spears was at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards which was held the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoon in Universal City, California. The ceremony, which was hosted by the Jonas Brothers, was later aired this past Monday on Fox. At the ceremony, the 27-year old pop singer was honored with the Ultimate Choice Award. The award was presented to her by Disney star Miley Cyrus. If you were able to watch, did you catch the major snub that Britney gave Miley? That was priceless! I was laughing so hard when I saw it. Miley isn’t as well liked as she would like to think.
The singer has apparently found love yet again and this time it seems even her father approves of it. Britney Spears is apparently now dating her agent, Jason Trawick, as a source relates: “They are totally and definitely dating. Her dad loves him. He’s the best thing that has happened to her.” They were all the best thing that happened to Britney Spears, weren’t they? Well, at least at the time they happened. And of course, Jamie Spears’ consent really does add bonus points for Jason Trawick. Britney Spears will most definitely find happiness this tine ‘round… and if she doesn’t, there’s always next time, right?
Britney Spears’ “Circus” concert tour is becoming a really big circus as it opened to a good start Tuesday night. This is Britney Spears’ first tour in almost half a decade and it is just right that she commence it at her home state of Louisiana. The pop star prepared well for the concert and this was evident from the challenging opening number where she was placed in a cage and hoisted down on stage to the whole concert itself.
And as a reward for being a good girl, Britney Spears took her two boys, 2-year old Jayden James and 3-year old Preston, to the Disneyland Park in Florida. Britney Spears along with her two boys and assistant Brett Miller were seen enjoying the Magic Kingdom’s Indy Speedway and Tomorrowland attractions. After playtime with her kids Britney Spears was off to work again and hit the stage Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia. The next days will see her touring Miami and Tampa, Florida.
Kevin Federline’s lawyer is still not signing on to the agreement to let the kids go with Britney Spears on her upcoming Circus tour. Mark Vincent Kaplan recently told E! “There can be an agreement reached in probably the next day, but there is not an agreement that is signed yet. Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country, and he is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful.” The kids will probably not be present at the tour venues nor would Brit see them more often than she already does according to the terms of her custody agreement.
I was pretty surprised when Lily Allen had nothing but nice things to say about Britney Spears’ performance in London but not everyone shares the love. Take That took some nasty digs at the recovered pop princess through the UK press. Gary Barlow said “I don’t see the point of Britney anymore, she was rubbish on the show. I think she’s more famous than she deserves to be now…Why come on a show like that and mime? I don’t like her new song either. Her old stuff was great but maybe she should have spent more time on this one.” Maybe the band just can’t take that Britney’s album has the same name as their album and also came out the same day.
Although it is horrible for the parents of the children when the young ones catch a disease but sometimes their disease carry bread for some one.
Yes! I am talking about the celebrity babies. Their disease brings food for many.
Apart from paying a magnanimous sum to the doctor of the child, the celebrities also become a source of income for the paparazzi.
Recently, Britney Spears’ 2-years old son Jayden was terribly ill but the photographers spent nights after the hospital to take some snaps of the super mom and her super kid.
Thankfully the kid, who suffered from “terrible allergic reaction”, is well now.
A source has confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Britney Spears’ son Jayden James has been admitted to the hospital. The Spears clan was on a trip to visit family in Kentwood, Louisiana when the 2-year old became ill and had to be rushed to the emergency room last Sunday. It seemed that the boy had suffered some seizures. An insider adds “One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill. He was vague and unresponsive so Britney dialled an ambulance. But she was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and she was best trying to get Jayden to the hospital herself. They tore off so fast it was incredible.” Doctors weren’t able to determine the exact cause of his illness that night so Jayden had to stay overnight for observation. It is being said that he suffered from food allergies.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Britney Spears and choreographer Wade Robson are going to have a reunion for her upcoming world tour which will kick off in the spring. Wade said “She reached out to me and said she wanted to get the old team back together, so we’ll go into rehearsals in January for a March start.” If you’re not familiar with the choreographer, he was responsible for the fantastic dances on the hit FOX reality competition ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. He has also worked with Britney on her previous tours as well as with NSYNC on their videos and tours.
It’s all good that Britney Spears has finally gone back to work but what’s even better is that she had such a blast that she’s wanting to do more of it. People reports that after Britney’s second day of taping for the sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’, her parents kept thanking everyone on set saying that it was just what their daughter needed. What’s more, a source said that the recovering starlet had a lot of fun acting on the show that she even mentioned wanting to extend her character so she could guest star some more. Good for her!
Jamie Spears will continue to control his daughter’s life for a further four months. A judge ruled in her latest conservatorship hearing that Jamie, who has been in charge of her estimated $100m fortune since February 1, can remain in control till July.
A source close to Britney said that she has no problem with the verdict.
The source said: “She is getting along well with her father and enjoying the closeness and support of her family.”
Since Jamie took over the handling of her affairs, Britney has been allowed to spend time with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and, generally, her outlook looks more positive.
The singer, who was spotted yesterday holding a Kabalah book, has continued to teach youngsters dance at a Hollywood dance studio, which has gone down well with local kids. Also, the strange behaviour that contributed to her being admitted to a psychiatric hospital seems to have been curbed.
Sam Lutfi, the self-appointed manager of Britney Spears, has been served with a restraining order. The shady ‘advisor’ was ordered to stay at least 250m away from the troubled singer and barred from communicating with her.
The federal judge in Britney’s conservatorship case placed the order and it will stand until March 17. The judge confirmed Lufti has been served with legal papers, but his rep has challenged the ruling.
Yesterday, Lutfi’s rep denied he was under police investigation, after claims made by Britney’s mother Lynne that he ‘drugged’ and ’stole’ from the singer.
Britney Spears’ wardrobe is looking as chaotic as her life is at the moment. The troubled singer wore ripped tights, a shapeless, inside out top and unzipped boots as she emerged from a Los Angeles dance studio to puff on a cigarette.
She was rehearsing moves for a video after being checked out of a hospital’s psychiatric ward last week, 11 days before she was due to leave.
Meanwhile, sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, are being looked after by her mum Lynne while ex husband Kevin Federline, who has custody, attends New York Fashion Week. Maybe he can pick up some tips to pass on to Britney…
Wow, can you believe there’s been no Britney Spears drama in a day and a half. Insiders say she is working hard to start getting herself back together.
According to sources, hairstylist to the stars Kim Lo spent over four hours with Britney at her house yesterday. Britney was calm and asked for a “long, sexy do”. Lo told her to put away her wigs and stop being crazy.
Britney was supposedly in good spirits, although sources say that she went into her British accent during her makeover, even pretending to be her own assistant. Weird….but that’s Britney.
Troubled Britney Spears has been put in a padded room at a mental hospital. Doctors say she must stay in the unit for 14 more days.
The star, 26, was sent to UCLA Medical Center’s psychiatric ward hospital in LA after a three-day meltdown. Yesterday, her paparazzi boyfriend Adnam Ghalib attempted to visit her but was denied by Britney’s mum Lynne. Clutching a get-well card and some flowers, Adnam was refused entry into the building.
Meanwhile, Britney “hit the roof” when her father Jamie, with whom she has been feuding for years, was appointed guardian of all her financial, legal and medical affairs while she is in hospital. The singer wants her lawyers to get the decision reversed.
But after a court hearing yesterday, Jamie has been allowed to continue in his role, after arguing his case with his representative Jeryll Cohen.
Seems we aren’t the only ones who think Sam Lufti is a creep and that Brit needs to stay far, far away from him. Rumor has it he was seeking legal advice to find out how to become Britney’s power of attorney. Such a move would give him control over every facet of her life, including finances.
But it won’t be so easy now. Jamie and Lynne Spears, Britney’s parents, have gone to court to seek conservatorship over Britney while she remains under treatment and evaluation. They want Sam Lufti kept away from her, and they have even gone so far as to have the locks on her home changed so he can no longer stay there. A family insider says, “They want him out of her life completely.”
Sam, our advice, get out while you can and go leech on Lindsay.
Maybe this time she’ll actually show up when scheduled and she might actually make it in the door.
Britney Spears’ attorney Anne Kiley has confirmed that Britney Spears will be back in court on February 4. The plan is to request therapeutic visitation with her boys. That would involve a therapist supervising visitation and offering advice on parenting skills.
This could be a step in the right direction for Brit.
