Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford said his good looks are the result of him being “blessed with good genes”.
Crawford, 24, plays the role of Nate in the popular US show and he has a huge female fan base around the world.
Asked if he has to work hard to look good, he told British OK! magazine: “I’m blessed. I have a beautiful mother and beautiful father, so I guess you could say I’m blessed with good genes.
“It’s important to have a certain look in the industry but I honestly tend to wake up and comb my hair with my hands. I think I have three pairs of the same jeans, so when I find something I like I tend to stick with it.”

Twilight star Ashley Greene has reportedly been spotted locking lips with Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford.
Ashley, 22, was allegedly spotted kissing the 24-year-old hunk in the back of her limousine on her way to LAX.
A source claims that the pair have been seen together “quite often” in recent days, but that no one thought they were anything other than just “good friends”.
However, a source claims the stars have known each other for a while, an insider said: “Ashley and Chace have known each other for a while.
“They used to hook up actually back when he lived in LA. It was never anything too serious. It was before either of them were famous. They stayed good friends.”

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford knows how to party.
The hunky TV star flew 15 friends from Dallas, Texas, to New York’s Long Island on a private jet to help him celebrate his 24th birthday.
Crawford’s treat saw the gang of high school and university friends party in the Hamptons and attend the Bridgehampton Polo.
“It was the best birthday Chace ever had because he was among his closest friends,” an insider told People.com.
Crawford celebrated his birthday by playing games, kayaking, swimming and enjoying meals prepared by a private chef.

Footloose star Kevin Bacon has passed on some valuable advice to Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford: “Wear really tight jeans.”
Crawford is stepping into Bacon’s dance shoes for the remake of the hit movie, after High School Musical star Zac Efron dropped out.
And acting legend Bacon happily shared his secrets for the remake to be a huge success – wear the tightest trousers possible.
According to Kyra Sedgwick, Bacon’s actress wife, the actor gave Crawford the heads up on the role of Ren which he originally played.
She said: “Kevin said: ‘Good luck,’ and gave him a couple of thoughts but I can’t remember what they were.
“Something about wearing really tight jeans and Herbert Ross saying to him, when he was doing the final dance scene: ”These aren’t tight enough!’
“So he kind of warned Chace about it: ‘You’re gonna have to wear really tight jeans. Just so ya know’. ”
Sedgwick said she and Bacon recently met the Gossip Girl star at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and that their daughter is a big fan of Crawford’s.
She added: “”We were like: ‘If he’s good enough for her, he’s good enough for us’.”

Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford will star in the remake of 80s cult movie Footloose after Zach Efron dropped out.
Movie bosses have confirmed Crawford has landed the lead role of Ren McCormack, made famous by Kevin Bacon in the 1984 original.
A Paramount Pictures spokesman told Us magazine: “Chace Crawford will play the lead role of Ren McCormack in the film Footloose.
Crawford had been in contract negotiations but was struggling to make filming work around his Gossip Girl schedule.
High School Musical heart-throb Efron was set for the part but pulled out after deciding against doing another musical film so early in his career.
He said: “I want to grow a bit with the types of movies I want to make.
“It was more along the lines that I was looking for a new challenge, and this was another musical.”
Footloose is set to begin shooting in March next year, with Heroes babe Hayden Panettiere among the stars who have recently auditioned for the movie.
