The American Idol stage is already hot with the vocal battle between David Archuleta and David Cook and it’s about to get even hotter. The Jonas Brothers are confirmed to be performing their hit song ‘SOS’ on the season 7 finale of the talent show this week. If anything, the band of brothers is going to cool down the stage as people anticipate who gets crowned as this year’s American Idol on Wednesday. If you ask me, the anticipation of finding out who will win is damn near killing me. Either David has been considered a shoe-in at the finale and here they are. Aaaah!

We’re down to 3 American Idol contestants with their 3 songs. This week was all about choices – judges’ choice, contestants’ choice and producers’ choice. Paula Abdul chose for David Archuleta to sing Billy Joel’s ‘And So It Goes’ while he chose to sing Chris Brown’s ‘With You’ and the producers chose Dan Fogelberg’s ‘Longer’. Randy Jackson chose for Syesha Mercado to sing Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ while she chose Peggy Lee’s ‘Fever’ and the producers picked Gia Farrel’s ‘Hit Me Up’. Simon Cowell chose for David Cook to sing Roberta Flack’s ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ while he chose Switchfoot’s ‘Dare You to Move’ and the producers picked Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’. I just want to say, Bye Syesha!

He returned to American Idol after a hospitalization scare. David Cook was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Tuesday night after he performed Dolly Parton’s “Little Sparrow”.
David was suffering from heart palpitations and high blood pressure. On Wednesday’s results show, he showed no problems at all. He tells host Ryan Seacrest, “The whole thing kind of got blown out of proportion. I have high blood pressure, and it spiked, so they took me to the nearest hospital. But I’m cool. I’m not going anywhere.”
And he didn’t this week.
