Lily Allen has proved you should never revisit past relationships — by splitting from Ed Simons again.

The singer used the internet to reveal her newly single status by updating her Facebook profile.

It baffles me why anyone, let alone a celeb, would see fit to announce that online.

Ed and Lily first split in February but grew close again at this summer’s Glastonbury, where the Chemical Brother comforted her over the death of her nana.

On July 7, Lily changed her status on the social networking site to “in a relationship with Ed Simons”.

But in the early hours of Thursday, she updated her page to say she was single again.

Yesterday, an upset Lily posted that she was “wasting away”.

With a high-profile soon to be ex-couple like Madonna and Guy Ritchie, it’s always a surprise when either or both of the people involved would like to keep things quiet. It’s being said that Guy is looking to keep the whole thing out of court. Friends spoke to UK’s Mirror saying that Guy’s trying to avoid a “final break” and doesn’t want to drag the battle into court even if it means he could get a lot of cash from it. A friend says “It’s not his style to start profiteering from such sorry circumstances.” He has taken informal legal advice from a London divorce firm though.

It took her a long four years to ditch the dork, but Anne Hathaway finally seems to have some sense.

Anne dated Italian-American businessman Raffaelo Follieri, even though the rest of the world knew he was scum. His charity, Follieri Foundation, was supposed to fund vaccination programs in third world countries. Now, though, it is under investigation by the NY Attorney General.

Supposedly Anne ended the relationship because effects of his dealings could negatively affect her career. Umm, yeah, that tells me she knew something shady was going on.

Now, she wants a man like Get Smart costar steve Carell!

Hollywood star Liv Tyler and her British rocker husband Royston Langdon have announced their separation, after five years of marriage.

Liv, 30 and Royston, 36, married in the Caribbean in 2003 and have a four-year-old son, Milo, together. The actress’s representative tells: “Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time.”

Gorgeous Liv prompted speculation of a split when she arrived at the glitzy New York Costume Institute Gala on Monday without a wedding ring.

It was recently reported that Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford broke up but there’s no need to feel sorry for Carrie. The American Idol alum apparently broke up with the ‘Gossip Girl’ hunk via text message! The 25-year old singer told Extra that “It was completely mutual. We’re both fine…We broke up over text so…It’s like ‘peace out.’ It just didn’t work…And we both knew it didn’t work and no hard feelings at all whatsoever… I haven’t talked to him in awhile but, I mean, I don’t dislike him… So it’s no big deal. It’s difficult while you’re dating because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are… And then when you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out and it’s like you’re rehashing old stuff… I don’t know why that’s all out now.”

‘Gossip Girl’ star Chace Crawford and country singing sweetheart Carrie Underwood have definitely split up. Sources have confirmed the split to Usmagazine.com. Their relationship lasted 9 months. Carrie had gone all the way to Dallas to hand out with Chace’s family at Thanksgiving and over the Christmas holidays but it still went to the dumps. That’s some interesting timing if you ask me. News of the couple splitting up came on the same day that JC Chasez proclaimed that he and Chace aren’t an item. There’s something fishy that still needs to be unearthed with those three I tell you.

Maybe this time she’ll actually show up when scheduled and she might actually make it in the door.

Britney Spears’ attorney Anne Kiley has confirmed that Britney Spears will be back in court on February 4. The plan is to request therapeutic visitation with her boys. That would involve a therapist supervising visitation and offering advice on parenting skills.

This could be a step in the right direction for Brit.

Well yesterday we speculated ‘Will she or Won’t she’ in regards to Britney Spear’s court date – it was anyone’s guess whether she would turn up or not.

Well she did turn up; 4and ½ hours late. As a result the Superior Court Commissioner placed a ruling that has barred Britney from seeing her two young sons; at least until the next hearing on Feb 19th.

When Britney finally turned up at court she was immediately mobbed by photographers. She stopped and got out of the car, but quickly changed her mind when the pack approached. She screamed: “Move back. I’m scared. Stop it. I want to get back in the car. Stop it. Let me get in the car, please.”

It is believed her lawyers jumped into the car to persuade her to go into court — but Britney refused and ordered her driver to leave. She and her new lover Adnan Ghalib were then driven to Church.

Lawyers have warned Britney that if she continues this behaviour and is unable to explain herself appropriately in court she could lose her kids for good.
